Maintenance and Care

It is recommended to clean the Dräger X-plore helmets, hoods and visors after each use. In-
spect all parts carefully and replace damaged or worn out parts.
Always observe the following points:
– Always clean Dräger X-plore helmets, hoods and visors in a well ventilated room or out-
doors. There may be deposits of harmful substances in certain parts.
– Do not use flammable cleaning fluids.
– Only clean the hood material using a humid cloth. Do not use cleaning agents or disinfect-
ants. Cleaning agents and disinfectants will damage the material. Then dry carefully.
– Use a mild rinsing agent, e.g. Sekusept
use abrasives.
Then dry carefully.
– You can use a conventional disinfectant, e.g. Incidur
X-plore helmets, hoods and visors having direct contact with the skin. Strictly follow the rel-
evant Instructions for Use.
Replacing the face cuff
Dräger X-plore protective visor
Removing the old face cuff:
Remove the attachment rubber straps of the face cuff from the support ring. Slowly remove
the Velcro connection of the facecuff from the visor. Do not damage or tear out the Velcro
straps of the protective visor.
Pull off the entire face cuff from top to bottom.
Dispose of the old face cuff.
Fitting the new face cuff:
Attach the face cuff evenly to the Velcro strap of the visor starting inside in the forehead
area.
Carefully check the correct seating of the face cuff.
Make sure that there are no loose areas or folds.

Removing the old face cuff with visor:
Remove the four attachment rubber straps of the face cuff from the inside of the support
ring.
Pull off the face cuff starting from the rear towards the front via the air channel connection.
Pull the face cuff over the helmet towards the front.
Dispose of the old face cuff.
Fitting the new face cuff:
Pull the face cuff carefully over the helmet. Make sure that the visor is in the correct posi-
tion.
Insert the air channel connection through the larger of the two openings.
Attach the four attachment rubber straps from the inside to the outside to the support ring.
Carefully check the correct seating of the face cuff.
Make sure that there are no loose areas or folds.
Replacing the sweatbands

Replace the sweatbands in the forehead and head area in regular intervals.
