The protection level depends on the device combination:

Approval
In combination with the Dräger X-plore 7300/7500 purifying respirators, the Dräger X-plore
hoods, helmets and visors have been tested and approved in accordance with
EN 12941:1998; in combination with the Dräger X-plore 9000 compressed air hose unit,
it has been tested and approved in accordance with EN 14594:2005 and the
PPE directive 89/686/EEC.
The protective visor TH2 offers additional face protection; the polycarbonate version (R56746)
in accordance with EN 166.1.3.B.9 and the acetate version (R56728) in accordance with
EN 166.1.3.F.9.
The safety helmet with visor offers additional head protection in accordance with EN 397.

Conditions for Use

The oxygen content of the ambient air must not drop below the following limit values:
at least 17 vol. % in Europe except for the Netherlands, Belgium, UK,
at least 19 vol. % in the Netherlands, Belgium, UK.
For other countries observe the national regulations!
Never enter unventilated tanks, pits, canals, etc. when wearing the Dräger X-plore hel-
mets, hoods and visors and purifying respirators!
The type and concentration of the contaminants must be known.
When checking the conditions of use, any possibly required protective clothing and head
protection must also be considered.
Do not use in explosive atmospheres!
Temperatures below 10
Strictly follow the Instructions of Use for the purifying respirator or the compressed air hose
unit.
The user of a purifying respirator or compressed air hose unit must be duly instructed and
both physically and mentally fit to use a respirator apparatus in accordance with
BGI 504-26.
Observe the regional regulations, e.g. within the European Union EN 529
"Recommendations for selection and use of respiratory protective devices",
EN 14387:2004 and EN 143:2000/A1:2006 as well as the corresponding national
regulations.
Not observing these notes and regulations for use or not wearing the Dräger X-plore helmets,
hoods and visors can impair the user's health and even lead to lasting damage.
