Please note the following

Read the Operating Instructions through thoroughly. Persons who are not familiar with the Operating
Instructions and also children, should not be permitted to use the appliance. It should be used only
for the purpose for which it is intended and any use for another purpose could prove dangerous
and must be strictly forbidden.

Before putting into use

The slight smoke and odour emission when first switched on is typical of new electrically heated
appliances, and should disappear after a few minutes. Before using for the first time, we recommend
heating up the appliance for about 10 to 15 minutes in a well-ventilated room. This preliminary
smoke and odour emission is perfectly normal and has no bearing on product quality.

Putting into use

■  When first using the Pizza/Grill, ensure that the above notes have been observed.
■  Stand the Pizza/Grill on the surface on which it is eventually to be used and ensure that it is
level, stable and dry.
■  Before using the first time, clean the grill plate or stone slab and the 8 pans with hot water
and detergent. Then rinse thoroughly and allow them to dry. The grill plate or stone slab is
now ready for use. We do not advise any further treatment, such as burning-in with oil in
the oven, etc.
■  Observe a reasonable distance from walls and other objects.
■  Heating up as raclette grill:
Plug in the power cord. Heat up only with the top heater (Fig. 2, p. 42, top heater regulator)
for about 10-15 minutes. Switching on both the top and bottom heaters without pans inserted
would overheat the appliance and could damage the non-stick coating on the pan holders.
■  Heating up as pizza oven:
Heat up in the same way as the raclette grill. After heating up and inserting the loaded pans,
turn on the bottom heater (right-hand switch).

➀ Melting cheese, grilling
Lay the Raclette-Cheese together with other ingredients such as onion rings, garlic slices, pepperoni
or tomato pieces in the pans. Spices should be added only after cooking is complete as many spices
can react under the heat to produce a bitter taste.
So that meat does not stick to the grill-plate it is recommended that, first a rasher of bacon is fried,
or alternatively very little oil added. When there is too much fat in the grill-plate there is a danger of
fat spitting. Grilling fruit is not recommended as these, because of their high acidity, can quickly
become stuck to the plate.
Tip: Never use acidiferons (like vinegar) on the stone.
Attention: Beware of fat splashes when grilling (bacon).

➁ Cooking mini-pizzas
So that the pizzas become fully crusty and tasty, manipulate the regulator for the top heater and the
right switch for the bottom heater! Turn the regulator to maximum.
For professional and cleanly cutting the dough use the dough cutting tool provided
Tip 1: In order to make optimum preparation for your Pizza-Party, make beforehand a sufficient
quantity of rolled pizza-dough pieces, correctly sized for the pans. Lay these on top of each other
with baking paper between each to prevent them sticking together.
Tip 2: Turn the pizza in the pan by 180 degrees to cook and crisp it evenly on all sides.
