f) Gyro Sensitivity Setting „GYRO SEN"
So-called gyroscope (or gyro) systems are used in order to stabilise the tail of the helicopter in the air. If the tail turns
sideways as a result of a wind gust or other external influences, this is recognised by the gyro and a corresponding
control command is sent to counter the turn.
For gyro systems that additionally have a controller input, you can switch the sensitivity in flight with the toggle switch
„Gyro" when necessary (see figure 1, item 2).
The model helicopter „HCP80 3D" has acceleration sensors that can be activated in addition to the gyro function al-
ready mentioned. The acceleration sensors also work like the gyro sensors on the longitudinal, transverse and vertical
axes and clearly stabilise the position in hover flight.
Activating the acceleration sensors, the flight properties of the helicopter are ideal for 3D aerobatics or aggressive
flight manoeuvres. With activated acceleration sensors, the model helicopter „HCP80 3D" will behave suitable for
beginners and hover stably in position while it does not receive control commands into a specific direction.
When the rocker switch „Gyro" (see figure 1, item 2) is in the front position (position 0), the gyro function without ac-
celeration sensors is activated.
When the switch is in the rear position (position 1), the gyro function incl. acceleration sensors is activated.
For both switch positions, sensitivity of the gyro function can be set individually.
