CONTROL BOARD FEATURES

The VIVO-M101(M) control board is built to form part
of an automatic single leaf door and gate system, driven
by way of an alternative current single phase motor
(with permanent capacitor) without an encoder.
VIVO-M101: operators of 230Vac, 50Hz;
VIVO-M101M: operators of 125Vac, 60Hz
The opening and closing operations are controlled by
time, and, optionally, by limit switches.
General features
• Power supply (earthed):
M101: 230Vac, 50Hz; M101M: 125Vac, 60Hz
• Control of travel by time (optionally, limit switches in
opening and in closing)
• Adjustable maximum thrust
• Adjustable standby time in automatic cycle
• Opening and closing mini-pushbuttons
Notable features
Garage light (T.LG)
The garage light time can be programmed at between
3 and 90 seconds (using the T.LG power meter). Time
begins to count when the operation starts.
Flashing light
The light remains on during the opening and closing
operations.
The light goes off when the operation finishes. The light
goes off whenever operation is interrupted at an
intermediate point.
Traffic light
A traffic light can be connected if the AEPS1-001 card
is installed. Using colour lights, this will indicate the
suitability or otherwise of crossing the gate.
• Off: gate closed.
• Green light: gate open, free passage.
• Red light: gate in movement, passage forbidden.
• Flashing green light: open gate about to close in
automatic mode.
STOP pushbutton (emergency stop)
This control board allows an em ergency stop
pushbutton to be installed (STOP). This pushbutton is of
NC type (normally closed). Opening the contact
produces the immediate halting of the gate.

Installation Manual
This control board is equipped with a soft stop system
which reduces speed at the end of the opening and
closing operations, in order to prevent impacts and
bangs to the gate.
Whenever electromechanical operators or hydraulic
operators other than VULCAN VUS are used and
obstacle detection (DIP9) is not activated, it is necessary
to install additional safety devices (photocells or strips)
in order to comply with Standard EN12453 or select
Dead Man mode.
• Opening and closing safety device cable connectors
(photocells or mechanical strips)
• Cable connectors for emergency stop pushbutton
(STOP)
• Connector for plug-in receiver
• Connector for traffic light card
• 24Vac output for peripheral connection
• Electrolock output (17Vdc)
Soft stop function (DIP8)
Function which reduces the speed of the gate when
approaching the opening and closing stoppers.
DIP8=ON: the gate reduces speed
DIP8=OFF: the gate does not reduce speed
Obstacle detection (DIP9)
This function prevents crushing, causing the gate to
recede whenever it stops at an intermediate point due
to an obstacle. The obstacles are only detected when
the gate has come to a complete halt.
DIP9=ON: obstacle detection activated
DIP9=OFF: obstacle detection disabled
Obstacle detection only works with electromechanical
operators.
Operation pre-warning function (DIP2)
This function delays the start of operation by three
seconds, during which time the flashing light comes on
to warn us that operation is about to begin.
DIP2=ON: 3 second warning
DIP2=OFF: no warning
Behaviour when connecting the power
supply
With the control board now programmed, if the power
supply goes off and returns, pressing any key device will
make the control board carry out an opening operation,
regardless of the position of the leaf.
