8.6 Movement sensor

Read this section very carefully before connecting, testing and operating the movement sensors.
To avoid incorrect drilling in the walls, we recommend you carry out a functionality test with your move-
ment sensor before final installation. Proceed as follows:
• Place the movement sensor on the table.
• Open the movement sensor housing by loosening the screw on the underside of the housing.
• Attach the power cables in the correct polarity (=clamp DC12V + and -).
• Close the housing.
• The LED begins to flash (link-plug LED set to ON). After the warm-up phase the LED is no longer lit.
• Pass through the movement sensor detection area with your hand from left to right (or vice-versa). The
LED lights up. If the LED does not light, check the power connection is fitted correctly. If this does not
help check whether the LED link-plug on the circuitboard is set to "ON".
LED OFF/ON link-plug
The movement sensor has an optical display. A change in temperature is shown by the red LED. The LED
link-plug is used to turn this on or off.
OFF
=
LED not lit.
=
LED is lit when movement is sensed.
ON
If the LED flashes then this means that the movement sensor is currently warming up. If
someone walks through the detection area at this time the sensor will not be activated.
The warm-up phase is approximately 2 minutes long.
MODE -link-plug
You can set the movement sensor to activate at the first change in temperature (movement) or after the
second change. You use the MODE link-plug to make this setting.
P
=
Activation after the second recognised movement within 10 seconds.
=
Activation after the first detected movement.
