Dear Customer, the following safety instructions are intended not only for the protection of your
health but also for the protection of the device. Please read through the following points carefully:
• If you are not sure when assembling, connecting and installing the device or if you have doubts
as to the mode of operation of the device, do not effect the assembly/connection/installation of
the device yourself, but rather contact a specialist.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible for safety and
approval reasons (CE).
• The power unit is constructed according to protection class II. Only connect the power unit to
a normal mains socket.
• The system components provided are approved for operation in dry, closed rooms only.
• Take care to provide sufficient ventilation, never place and/or secure the alarm control centre
on highly inflammable surfaces (e.g. wood wall panelling).
• The mains supply unit must not get damp or wet.
• If the mains supply unit exhibits any obvious damage, then the mains socket is to be switched
off before the mains supply plug is removed (e.g. by removing the corresponding fuse).
• Electrical devices should be kept out of children's reach. Be especially careful if children are
around, as they could try to put objects through the opening of the housing into the device! The
product is not a toy!
• Mount the alarm components so that they cannot be reached by children.
• Never connect the product to the mains power supply immediately after taking it from a cold
room into a warm one. The condensation produced may, under certain conditions, lead to
malfunctions or damage; apart from this, there is risk of an electric shock. Allow the product
to reach room temperature before you connect it to the mains voltage. This may take several
hours!
