Carefully screw the compatible gazzini thread adapter (No. 7, 8, 9) into the mirror
joint (Nr. 4). Then screw the base or the mirror joint, with the adapter attached, into
the lever assembly. Roughly align the mirror to suit your riding position and tighten
it using the lock nut (size 15 wrench). Then, once the mirror has been aligned to the
riding position, fasten the Flat head screw (Nr. 2) and toothed lock washer (Nr. 3)
on the mirror stem to the mirror joint using a hexagon key (size 4). Then adjust the
mirror head on the ball joint so that you have an optimal view of following traffic.

4.4 | Electrical connection

LED turn signals only light up if the positive cable (+) and the negative cable (-)
are connected correctly. The cables have small marker tags for identification.
Connect the red positive cable (+) and the black negative cable (-) of the turn
signal to the supply lines of the removed original turn signal. For this purpose
there are various options, e.g. using the supplied Japanese connector as an
aid, with seal connectors (sold separately) or with small soldered joints. It is
imperative that the soldered joints are insulated with heat shrink tubing. To do so,
the heat shrink tubing is pushed onto the cable before the cable is soldered. Then
pull the heat shrink tubing over the soldered joint and carefully shrink it on with a
cigarette lighter or a hot air gun.
To make the electrical connection particularly simple, there are specific
adapter cables optionally available for a wide range of vehicles. At
one end, the adapter cables have a compact connector that fits into
the plug-in connector of the original wiring harness and, at the other
end, the necessary connections for the turn signal. You do not require any other
materials whatsoever for making the electrical connections.

Always make sure that the cables are correctly connected without any risk of
short-circuit. Make sure that the positive and negative and the left-hand and right-
hand side of the turn signal are not reversed. Do not under any circumstances
use terminal blocks for connection. After connecting, it is imperative to check
that the electrical system is functioning correctly before you set off.
The flashing frequency (speed) is set at 90 +/- 30 cycles per minute. This means
that the turn signals must flash between 60 and 120 times each minute.
If turn signals are installed which have a lower total wattage than the
originals, this normally results in a flashing frequency which is too high
or the turn signal stopping completely. The correct flashing frequency
must then be restored using an appropriate flasher relay or resistors
(which simulate the missing wattage).
Various universal flasher relays, vehicle-specific flasher relays and resistors in
different sizes are available as accessories.
The use of resistors is particularly recommended if your vehicle has a combined
relay unit which cannot be replaced (in this case, it will usually have more than
three cable connections) or if the turn signals are controlled by the motorcycle's
trip computer. The resistors need to be installed in the right and left turn signal
circuits in parallel connection. They can be positioned directly before the turn
signals or in a different position within the right or left turn signal circuit (either at
the front or the rear).
The required resistance can be determined using the following formula:
Required resistance R (in ohms) is equal to the square of the electrical system
voltage (6/12 volts) divided by the watt difference between the old and the new
turn signals. The original wattage can be found either on the original bulb itself,
in the vehicle handbook or possibly on the turn signal lens.
Example:
Turn signal original: 21 W
Turn signal accessories: 1.7 W
Watt difference: 19.3 W
