IMPORTANT!
Risk of damage
• The cables must be routed in such a way that they cannot
chafe, and they must not kink. If necessary, use a cable
sheath or a rubber cable feed-through.
• Any resistors that are installed may heat up during use and
therefore must not be installed in the direct vicinity of heat-
sensitive components or in closed housings. Depending on
how long the light remains switched on, temperatures of
+80°C or more are possible. Only use resistors which have a
heat sink.
• The gazzini LED Tail Light must never be installed in front of
the exhaust port or in the hot exhaust gas stream.
• The gazzini LED Tail Light must be mounted so that it is
protected against vibrations because, in extreme cases,
vibrations may damage the LED circuit board.

4 | Installation

4.1 | Legal requirements

Information on the rules for installing brake and tail lights:
Brake lights:
• Number of lights: 1, acc. to EC: also 2 permissible
• Height: Lower edge (LE): at least 250 mm (according to German Road Traffic
Licensing Regulations (StVZO): at least 350 mm), Upper edge (UE): 1500 mm
max.
Tail lights:
• Number of lights: 1 or 2
• Height: LE at least 250 mm, UE 1500 mm max.
License plate light: compulsory at the rear
With this gazzini LED Tail Light, a separate reflector with a valid certification mark
must be fitted in addition.
