Commissioning

Warning
S Make sure that:
nobody can place his/her hand in the
path of the moveable parts (e. g. by
means of a protective screen)
there are no objects in the positioning
range.
It must not be possible to touch the DMES−...
until the mass has come to a complete
stand.
Check travel
Determining the direction
of movement of the motor
Fig. 28: Definitions
1. Start check travel limited to low dynamics.
In spite of equal control, even motors of the same type sometimes turn in the
opposite direction due to the circuitry.
The DMES−... contains a spindle which turns in a clockwise direction (when the
drive pin is turned in a clockwise direction, the slide moves in the direction of
the motor).
2. Start reference travel limited to low dynamics up to the end position on the
motor side.
Providing the permitted impact energy is not exceeded, reference travel may
be made directly against the mechanical end position.
Maximum impact energy (= ½ mass x speed
DMES−18: max. 0.12 x 10
DMES−40: max. 1.0 x 10
3. Start test travel limited to low dynamics.
4. Check whether the DMES−... fulfils the following requirements:
The slide must be able to move through the complete intended posit. cycle.
The slide must stop as soon as it reaches a limit switch.
5. If the sensors do not respond, see Eliminating faults" and the operating
instructions for the sensors.
