Fitting mechanical components

Fitting the coupling and the motor unit (see chapter Accessories")
1. Clean the shaft pins. The coupling will
only grip without slipping if the shaft
pins are dry and free of grease.
With DMES−18: Remove the adapter (A)
from the DMES in order to facilitate ac
cess to the shaft pin.
2. Press a coupling hub (K) completely onto
the shaft pins (W) of the MTR−DCI and
the DMES.
3. Make sure that dimensions x and y are
observed:
Motor
MTR−DCI−32
MTR−DCI−42
MTR−DCI−52
MTR−DCI−62
4. With DMES−25/40/63 and MTR−
DCI−42/52/62 (tangential clamping
coupling hub):
Tighten the greased clamping screw
(torque: see Fig. 8).
5. With DMES−18 and MTR−DCI−32 (radial clamping coupling hub):
Turn the hub on the shaft pin so that the threaded pin touches the flat surface
of the shaft (otherwise the shaft may be damaged and the hub can no longer
be removed). Tighten the non−greased threaded pin (torque: see Fig. 8).
