6.4 Zusammenschalten
mehrerer TWIST-20LED
Es lassen sich mehrere Geräte zusammenschalten,
um über das Mikrofon des Hauptgerätes (Master) alle
weiteren Nebengeräte (Slave) synchron zu steuern.
1) Den Anschluss DMX OUTPUT (17) des Haupt-
gerätes über ein 3-poliges XLR-Kabel (z. B. Serie
MEC-... oder MECN-... aus dem Sortiment von
„img Stage Line") mit dem Anschluss DMX
INPUT (15) des ersten Nebengerätes verbinden.
2) Den Anschluss DMX OUTPUT des ersten
Nebengerätes mit dem Anschluss DMX INPUT
des zweiten Nebengerätes verbinden usw., bis
alle Geräte in einer Kette angeschlossen sind.
3) Sobald an den Nebengeräten die Steuersignale
vom Hauptgerät anliegen, leuchtet bei ihnen die
rote LED SLAVE (8) auf.
4) Die Schwenkköpfe der Nebengeräte können sich
gleichläufig oder gegenläufig zum Hauptgerät
bewegen. Ein Gerätepaar lässt sich z. B. so ein-
stellen, dass die Bewegungen ihrer Schwenk-
köpfe genau entgegengesetzt laufen.
a) Zum Umschalten zwischen gleich- und gegen-
läufiger Bewegung die Taste MENU (4) am
Nebengerät so oft drücken, bis im Display
(Slave Mode) angezeigt wird. Mit dem
Drücken der nächsten Taste nie länger als
8 Sekunden warten, sonst wird der Einstell-
vorgang beendet.
b) Die Taste ENTER (6) drücken. Das Display
blinkt.
c) Mit der Taste DOWN oder UP (5) zwischen
(Slave 1) für gleichläufige und
(Slave 2) für gegenläufige Bewegung wählen.
d) Zum Speichern die Taste ENTER drücken.
Das Display zeigt für einige Sekunden
Danach schaltet das Gerät auf den vorherigen
Betriebsmodus zurück.
6.4 Interconnecting several
TWIST-20LED units
Several units may be interconnected in order to con-
trol all further slave units synchronously via the
microphone of the master unit.
1) Connect the DMX OUTPUT (17) of the master
unit via a 3-pole XLR cable (e. g. series MEC-...
or MECN-... from the "img Stage Line" product
range) to the DMX INPUT (15) of the first slave
unit.
2) Connect the DMX OUTPUT of the first slave unit
to the DMX INPUT of the second slave unit, etc.
until all units are connected in a chain.
3) As soon as the control signals from the master
unit are present at the slave units, their red LED
SLAVE (8) will light up.
4) The movements of the pan heads of the slave
units may be in sync with the master unit or oppo-
site to it. Two units (a pair) can e. g. be adjusted
so that the movements of their pan heads are
precisely opposite.
a) To switch between movement in sync and
opposite movement, press the button MENU
(4) on the slave unit so many times until the
display shows
(Slave Mode). Never wait
for more than 8 seconds before pressing the
next button, otherwise the adjusting procedure
will be stopped.
b) Press the button ENTER (6). The display
starts flashing.
c) With the button DOWN or UP (5), select
(Slave 1) for movement in sync and
(Slave 2) for opposite movement.
d) To memorize, press the button ENTER. The
display will show
for a few seconds.
Then the unit is switched back to the previous
operating mode.
6.5 Fernbedienung LC-3
Über die als Zubehör erhältliche Fernbedienung
LC-3 (Abb. 3) lassen sich verschiedene Funktionen
steuern.
1) Die Fernbedienung an die Buchse RC ONLY (14)
anschließen.
2) Am Eingang DMX INPUT (15) darf kein DMX-Sig-
nal anliegen. Die gelbe LED MASTER (3) muss
leuchten.
3) Über den DMX-Ausgang (17) können weitere
TWIST-20LED angeschlossen werden (
tel 6.4), um diese über die Fernbedienung
gemeinsam mit dem Hauptgerät zu steuern.
4) Mit der Taste STAND BY (19) lässt sich der Ruhe-
modus ein- und ausschalten. Bei eingeschaltetem
Ruhemodus leuchtet die LED neben der Taste.
Der Schwenkkopf fährt in die Ausgangsposition
und der Lichtstrahl wird abgeschaltet.
5) Mit der Taste MODE (21) den Betriebsmodus
wählen:
1. Stroboskop-Modus
(LED neben der Taste MODE leuchtet nicht)
Bei jedem neuen Gedrückthalten der Taste
FUNCTION (20) wechselt das Gerät auf den
nächsten der drei Stroboskop-Effekte:
– Dauer-Stroboskop
– Stroboskop in Salven
– musikabhängiges Stroboskop
Nach dem Loslassen der Taste FUNCTION ist
das Showprogramm wieder aktiviert.
2. Show-Modus (LED blinkt)
Das gewünschte Showprogramm (Show 1 – 4)
mit der Taste FUNCTION (20) auswählen
(
Kapitel 6.3).
3. Manuelle Farb- und Lichtmusterwahl
(LED leuchtet kontinuierlich)

Durch kurzes Drücken der Taste FUNCTION
die Farbe des Lichtmusters wählen und durch
längeres Drücken der Taste das Lichtmuster.
6.5 Remote control LC-3
The remote control LC-3 (fig. 3) available as an
accessory allows to control different functions:
1) Connect the remote control to the jack RC ONLY
(14).
2) No DMX signal must be present at the DMX
INPUT (15). The yellow LED MASTER (3) must
light up.
3) Via the DMX OUTPUT (17), it is possible to con-
nect further TWIST-20LED units (
in order to control them via the remote control
together with the master unit.
4) With the button STAND BY (19), the sleep mode
can be switched on and off. With the sleep mode
switched on, the LED next to the button will light
up. The pan head will go to its starting position
and the light beam will be extinguished.
5) With the button MODE (21), select the operating
mode:
1. Stroboscope mode
(LED next to the button MODE does not light up)
Each time the button FUNCTION (20) is kept
pressed, the unit changes to the next of the
three stroboscopic effects:
– permanent stroboscope
– stroboscope in salvos
– stroboscope depending on the music
After releasing the button FUNCTION, the
show programme will be reactivated.
2. Show mode (LED flashing)
Select the desired show programme (Show 1
to Show 4) with the button FUNCTION (20)

3. Manual selection of colour and light pattern
(LED lights continuously)
Select the colour of the light pattern by shortly
pressing the button FUNCTION and select the
light pattern by pressing the button for a longer
time.
7 Bedienung über ein Lichtsteuergerät
Zur Bedienung über ein Lichtsteuergerät mit DMX -
512-Protokoll (z. B. DMX-1440 oder DMX-510USB
von „img Stage Line") verfügt das Gerät über 7 Steu-
erkanäle. Die Funktionen der Kanäle und die DMX-
Werte finden Sie im Kapitel 10.1.
7.1 Anschluss
Als DMX-Schnittstelle besitzt das Gerät 3-polige
XLR-Anschlüsse (15 und 17) mit folgender Kontakt-
belegung: Pin 1 = Masse, 2 = DMX-, 3 = DMX+.

Zum Anschluss sollten spezielle Kabel für hohen
Datenfluss verwendet werden. Normale abge-
schirmte Mikrofonkabel mit einem Leitungsquer-
schnitt von mindestens 2 × 0,22 mm
geringer Kapazität sind nur bei einer Gesamtkabel-
länge bis 100 m zu empfehlen. Bei Leitungslängen
ab 150 m wird das Zwischen schalten eines DMX-
Aufholverstärkers empfohlen (z. B. SR-103DMX von
„img Stage Line").
1) Den DMX-Eingang (15) mit dem DMX-Ausgang
des Lichtsteuergerätes verbinden.
2) Den DMX-Ausgang (17) mit dem DMX-Eingang
des nächsten Lichteffektgerätes verbinden. Des-
sen Ausgang wieder mit dem Eingang des nach-
folgenden Gerätes verbinden usw., bis alle Licht-
effektgeräte in einer Kette angeschlossen sind.
3) Den DMX-Ausgang des letzten DMX-Gerätes der
Kette mit einem 120-Ω-Widerstand (> 0,3 W) ab -
schlie ßen: An die Pins 2 und 3 eines XLR-Ste-
ckers den Widerstand anlöten und den Ste cker in
den DMX-Ausgang stecken oder einen entspre-
chenden Abschlussstecker (z. B. DLT-123 von
„img Stage Line") verwenden.
7 Operation via a light controller
For operation via a light controller with DMX512 pro-
tocol (e. g. DMX-1440 or DMX-510USB by "img
Stage Line"), the unit is equipped with 7 control
channels. The functions of the channels and the
DMX values can be found in chapter 10.1.
7.1 Connection
As a DMX interface the unit is equipped with 3-pole
XLR connections (15 and 17) with the following pin

configuration: pin 1 = ground, 2 = DMX-, 3 = DMX+.
For connection, special cables for high data flow
should be used. The use of standard microphone
cables with a minimum cable cross section of 2 ×
0.22 mm
2
and a capacity as low as possible can only
be recommended for a total cable length of up to
100 m. For cable lengths exceeding 150 m it is rec-
ommended to insert a DMX level matching amplifier
(e. g. SR-103DMX from "img Stage Line").
1) Connect the DMX input (15) to the DMX output of
the light controller.
2) Connect the DMX output (17) to the DMX input of
the following light effect unit. Connect its output
again to the input of the following unit, etc. until all
light effect units are connected in a chain.
3) Terminate the DMX output of the last DMX unit in
the chain with a 120 Ω resistor (> 0.3 W): Solder
the resistor to the pins 2 and 3 of an XLR plug and
connect the plug to the DMX output or use a cor-
responding terminating plug (e. g. DLT-123 from
"img Stage Line").
