7. ASSeMBly + OperAtiOn

After initial assembly, and before commissioning, the crane
must be inspected by an expert (see point 8) and their
approval confirmed in the logbook.
Swivel jib crane assembly – Adjusting the jib (fig. 1-5)
Assembly, adjustment of the jib and disassembly must be performed
by two people.
Delivered state:
– Mast, 2-parts
– Boom
– Swivel lever
– Attachment kit

Fitting the load rope
Hard-solder the end of the rope as appropriate and secure to the rope
drum with an Allen key (WAF 4 to 6 Nm, WAF 5 to 9 Nm) (fig. 1 and fig. 2).
Turning the crank clockwise should wind the rope onto the drum, as shown
in fig. 3.

Check for function each time before starting work.

Alternatively, the winch can be
installed such that the crank is
on the other side of the boom.
Pay attention to the winding
direction of the rope and clea-
rance of the crank handle.

z If necessary, pin the outer tube at an appropriate height, secure with
clip connectors.
z Attach the retention cable to the boom with shackles.
z Adjust the required jib projection by moving the rope pulley.
Only adjust the outer tube and rope pulley when they
are not under load. Only retract the ajustment bolt (by
use of the hand lever), when the outer tube is held by a
second person.
z Attach the boom to the mast, pin in place and secure with clip
connectors.
z Stow away the swivel handle.
Swivel jib crane disassembly
z Proceed in reverse order to assembly.
Swivelling the crane:
z Pull the hand lever out of its storage
position and insert fully into the swivel
hole.

As a rule:
– Do not pull the crane with a
jerking motion!
– Persons are not permitted to
stand under a suspended load!
– Do not pull on the crank of the
winch to swivel the crane!
– Do not pull on the chain used
for operating the hoist to swivel
the crane!
