Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Dieses Gerät entspricht der Richtlinie für elektroma-
gnetische Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG und der Nie-
derspannungsrichtlinie 73/23/EWG.
Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher Netzspan-
nung (230 V~) versorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb nie-
mals selbst Eingriffe im Gerät vor. Durch unsach-
gemäßes Vorgehen besteht die Gefahr eines
elektrischen Schlages. Außerdem erlischt beim
Öffnen des Gerätes jeglicher Garantieanspruch.
Beachten Sie für den Betrieb auch unbedingt die fol-
genden Punkte:
•
Auch wenn das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist, hat es ei-
nen geringen Stromverbrauch.
•
Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung in Räumen ge-
eignet.
•
Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Staub, Vibrationen, di-
rektem Sonnenlicht, Feuchtigkeit und Hitze (zuläs-
siger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0-40 °C).
•
Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von
Brummquellen wie z. B. Transformatoren oder Mo-
toren.
•
Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen, und sofort den
Netzstecker ziehen, wenn:
1. sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder an der Netz-
anschlußleitung vorhanden sind,
2. nach einem Sturz oder ähnlichem der Verdacht
auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Das Gerät in jedem Fall zur Reparatur in eine
Fachwerkstatt geben.
•
Eine beschädigte Netzanschlußleitung darf nur
durch den Hersteller oder eine autorisierte Fach-
werkstatt ersetzt werden.
•
Den Netzstecker nie an der Zuleitung aus der
Steckdose ziehen.
•
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, falsch bedient
oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann für eventu-
elle Schäden keine Haftung übernommen werden.
•
Für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes Staubtuch ver-
wenden, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien oder Wasser.

Safety Notes
This appliance corresponds to the directive for elec-
tromagnetic compatibility 89/336/EEC and the low
voltage directive 73/23/EEC.
This unit uses dangerous mains voltage (230 V~).
To prevent a shock hazard do not open the cabi-
net. Leave servicing to authorized skilled person-
nel only. Besides any guarantee claim expires if
the unit has been opened.
For the operation also watch in any case the follow-
ing items:
•
Even if the unit is switched off, it has a small power
consuption.
•
The unit is only suitable for indoor use.
•
Protect the CD player from dust, vibrations, direct
sun radiation, humidity, and heat (permissible oper-
ating temperature range 0-40 °C).
•
Do not operate the CD player near hum sources
like e. g. transformers or motors.
•
Do not set the unit into operation and immediately
take the mains plug out of the mains socket if:
1. damage at the unit or mains cable can be seen,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or
similar accident,
3. there are malfunctions.
The unit must in any case be repaired by author-
ized skilled personnel.
•
A damaged mains cable must only be repaired by
the manufacturer or authorized skilled personnel.
•
Never pull the mains plug out of the mains socket
by means of the mains cable.
•
If the unit is used for purposes other than originally
intended, if it is operated in the wrong way or not
repaired by authorized skilled personnel, there is
no liability for possible damage.
•
For the cleaning only use a dry cloth for dust re-
moving, by no means chemicals or water.

2.1 Frontseite
1 Display
2 Ein-/Ausschalter
3 Taste zum Umschalten zwischen Einzel- und
Gesamttitelwiedergabe. Nach dem Einschalten
zeigt das Display „PLAY 1", und am Ende eines
Titels schaltet das Gerät auf Pause (Einzeltitel-
wiedergabe). Wird die Taste betätigt, erlischt die
Anzeige „PLAY 1", und nach dem Ende eines
Titels wird automatisch der nächste Titel gespielt.
4 Jog Dial zum exakten Anfahren einer bestimmten
Stelle im Pausen-Modus. Bei eingeschalteter
Pause wird auf der CD so lange und so schnell
vor- oder zurückgefahren, wie der Knopf gedreht
wird. Nach dem Drehen wird die momentane
Stelle so lange wiederholt, bis die Taste
gedrückt wird.
Hinweis: Wird der Jog Dial während der Wieder-
gabe gedreht, spielt der Titel entsprechend
langsamer bzw. schneller.
5 Taste TIME zum Umschalten der Zeitanzeige.
Bei laufender CD zeigt das Display die Restzeit
des gerade gespielten Titels und zur Kennzeich-
nung „REMAIN". Durch mehrfaches Drücken der
Taste TIME können folgende Zeitinformationen
und Funktionen gewählt werden:
1. die bereits gespielte Zeit des momentanen
Titels (die Anzeige „REMAIN" erlischt)
2. die Restzeit der gesamten CD („REMAIN" wird
wieder angezeigt)
3. die Funktion OUTRO zum Abspielen der je-
weils letzten 15 Sekunden eines Titel (diese
Funktion ist erst ab dem nächsten Titel aktiv,
eventuell die Taste
drücken und bei Ein-
zeltitelwiedergabe zusätzlich die Taste
4. beim vierten Tastendruck zeigt das Display
wieder die Restzeit des gerade gespielten
Titels
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with the letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.

2.1 Front panel

3 Button for switching between individual and con-
tinuous title reproduction. After switching on, the
display shows "PLAY 1", and at the end of a title
the unit switches to pause (individual title repro-
duction). If the button is pressed, the display
"PLAY 1" expires and at the end of a title the next
title is automatically played.
4 Jogging wheel for the exact positioning of a cer-
tain spot in the pause mode. During activated
pause, the CD is advanced/reversed as long and
as fast as the wheel is turned. After turning, the
actual spot is repeated over and over again until
the
button is pressed.
Note: If the jogging wheel is turned during the
reproduction, the title will accordingly be played
slower resp. faster.
5 TIME button for switching the time display. While
the CD is being played, the display shows the
remaining time of the title being played as well as
the marking "REMAIN". By pressing the TIME
button several times, the following time informa-
tion and functions can be selected:
