FILLING AND DRAINING HEATING
AND DOMESTIC HOT WATER

FILLING THE HEATING SYSTEM

See diagram in fig. 4 showing the various reference
components.
After making the water connections, fill the heating
system.
Do this when the system is cold as follows:
- open the cap of the automatic air vent (A) by two or
three turns
- make sure that the cold water inlet tap is open
- open the filling tap (B) until the pressure on the
thermohydrometer (fig. 5) must range between 1 and
1.5 bar.
Then close the filling tap.
As the boiler features an efficient air separator, no
manual operations are required.
The burner only ignites if the air has finished venting.
DRAINING THE HEATING SYSTEM
To drain the heating system proceed as follows:
- switch off the boiler
- loosen the boiler drainage valve (C)
- empty out the bottom parts of the system
DRAINING THE DOMESTIC HOT WATER SYSTEM
If there is the risk of freezing, drain the domestic hot
water system as follows:
- close the general water tap
- open all the hot and cold water taps
- svuotare i punti più bassi.
ATTENTION
The safety valve outlet must be connected to an
appropriate drainage system.
The manufacturer will not be held liable for eventual
flooding due to interfering with the safety valve.
6.
FUMES OUTLET AND COMBURENT
AIR INTAKE (Quadra ie m)
The boiler is fitted with a fumes thermostat for checking
that the products of combustion are correctly
discharged. In the event of a fault, it promptly shuts
down the appliance.
This control system must never be tampered with.
Safety devices may only be replaced by the
Technical Assistance Service which only uses
original spare parts.
After repairing the device, perform an ignition test
and check that the fumes outlet thermostat works
properly.
The fumes outlet and the flue connection must
comply with standards and/or with local and
national regulations.
Rigid ducts must be used, the connections
between the elements must be airtight and all the
components must be resistant to high
temperatures, condensate and mechanical stress.
