If a programmer or room thermostat have been installed
they must be switched on and regulated to a higher
temperature than the room temperature to start up the
boiler.
Under the above conditions, after a few seconds the
boiler status Led (A) will turn green and stays on to
show there is a flame.
Regulating central heating water temperature
Turn the heating water temperature selector (C):
clockwise the temperature rises, anti-clockwise it
decreases.
Regulating the domestic hot water temperature
Tur ning the hot water temperature selector (E):
clockwise the temperature increases, anti-clockwise it
decreases.
E.
Switching off for short periods
In the event of brief periods of absence, move the mode
selector (D) to
.
The anti-freeze function remains active.
Switching off for long periods
In the event of long periods of absence, move the mode
selector (D) to
.
Turn off the gas tap under the boiler by turning it
clockwise.
In this case, the anti-freeze function is deactivated:
drain the systems if there is risk of freezing.
F.
If the boiler does not ignite within 9-10 seconds, the
boiler status led (A) will turn red and stay on.
To start up again turn the programme selector (D) to
, wait for 5-6 seconds and then turn the programme
selector (D) to the desired position making sure led (A)
turns from steady red to green, flashing at intervals of 1
second on and 5 seconds off.
The boiler will start up again automatically at this point
and led (A) will light up green and stay on.
Contact your local Servicing Centre if you fail to
unblock it.
G.
Turning the heating water temperature selector (C) to
the range given in figure 2, will activate the S.A.R.A.
self-regulating system: the boiler will automatically
change the temperature of the central heating water on
the basis of the temperature set by the room thermostat
and the time needed to reach it, reducing service time,
making it easier to work and saving on energy.
The boiler will work at the temperature set by the heating
water temperature selector (C) the next time it has to
heat up again.

Make sure the heat-water gauge reads pressures
between 0.6 and 1.5 bar when the system is cold at the
start of the central heating season and every now and
again while it is being used.
The boiler will turn itself off if there is insufficient water
in circulation. The water pressure must never for any
reason drop to below 0.5 bar (red range).
Should this occur the pressure of the water in the boiler
must be taken back to normal again by:
turning the programme selector (D) to
opening the filling stopcock underneath the boiler until
pressure returns to normal.
carefully turning off the filling stopcock again.
turning the programme selector (D) back to its original
position.
Calling in the Servicing Centre if the pressure drops
frequently.
