It is easy to transform from one category of gas to
another even after the boiler has been installed.
The boiler is supplied to use natural gas (G20) or LPG
(G30/G31) depending on what is written on the product
rating plate.
The boiler can be transformed from one type of gas to
another using the special kits available upon request:
- natural gas to LPG transformation kit
- LPG to natural gas transformation kit.

- switch off the power to the boiler and close the gas
stopcock
- remove in sequence: hood, air box cover (Quadra ie
FF m), lower skirt (Quadra ie m) and combustion
chamber cover
- disconnect the electrode connecting cable
- slide out the lower fairlead from the air box housing
- unscrew the clamp screws from the burner then
remove it with the electrode and relevant wiring still
attached
- using a socket spanner or fork spanner remove
nozzles and washers and replace with those in kit
- to change from natural gas to LPG, screw the flange
onto the burner (if there are holes for screwing) using
the supplied screws (select the flange according to
the number of burner elements)
- to change from LPG to natural gas remove the back
flange (if there is one) from the burner
- put the burner back into the combustion chamber and
screw up the screws fastening it to the gas header
- connect up the electrode cable again
- put the combustion chamber cover, air box cover
(Quadra ie FF m) and lower skirt (Quadra ie m) back on
- turn over display panel towards the front of boiler
- remove inspection cover from electronic control board
- on the electronic control board:
- if you are transforming from natural gas to LPG,
insert the bridge into the JP3 position
- if you are transforming from LPG to natural gas,
remove the bridge from the JP3 position
- close up the electronic control board inspection cover
again
- switch on power again to the boiler and re-open the
gas stopcock (check that the joints of the gas supply
system are sealed properly when the boiler is working
again).
Transformation must be done by qualified
personnel only.
Regulate the boiler again after transformation
has been done following instructions in the
relevant paragraph and apply new identification
rating plate from the kit.
