III.3.8 CLEANING OF THE IMPELLER AND IMPELLER HOUSING (FIGURES A-A'-A")
- Clean the impeller when it becomes clogged.
1 - Motor pump sets ST2.36H, ST3.60H and ST3.60H and ST3.60HK (FIGURE A):
- Remove the 4 screws m8 and remove the body of the pump 2 then clean the impeller 11 and the impeller housing 10.
- Replace the body of the pump 2 paying attention to the seal 14 and retighten the 4 screws m8.
2 - Motor pump sets TR2.36H and TR3.60H (FIGURE A'):
- Remove the 4 screws m8 18 with the help of the flat spanner 28 and remove the body of the pump 2 then clean the impeller 11 and the impeller housing 10.
- Replace the body of the pump 2 paying attention to the seal 14 and retighten the 4 screws m8.
3 - Motor Pump sets XT2.42H and XT3.78H (FIGURE A"):
- Unscrew and fold back the 4 quick-release knobs 23 by hand or with the help of a metal rod, and remove the body of the pump 2 and then clean the impeller 11 and the im-
peller housing 10.
-Replace the body of the pump 2 on paying attention to the seal 14 and retighten the 4 quick-release knobs 23 by hand or with the help of a metal rod.
Operations to carry out

Change the engine oil.
- Clean the paper element
Clean the air filter.
- Replace the paper filter
Clean the carburettor sediment bowl.
Clean and adjust the spark plug
Replace the fuel filter
Check or adjust the valve clearances
Clean the strainer and the petrol tank.
Check or replace the fuel hose
Clean the motor pump set.
- Make sure that the place of storage is neither damp nor dusty.
- Drain the fuel (figure S).
- Change the engine oil (figure c).
- Remove the spark plug and poor a spoon full of clean engine oil into the cylinder. Turn the engine over several times to disperse the oil evenly in the cylinder and replace the
spark plug. Pull slowly on the starter cord until you feel a resistance then continue to pull until the arrow on the starter pulley coincides with the aperture of the recoil starter (fi-
gure T).
- Completely drain the pump (figure O).
- Clean the impeller 11 and the impeller housing 10 (figures A-A'-A").
- Remove the debris or accumulations of dust from the surface of the motor pump set.
- Clean the motor pump set and the hoses.
- Store the motor pump set in a clean dry place.
