1. Measuring errors and their causes
If you fail to get any measurement results, please check for the following possible
causes.
If necessary, repeat measurement after the circulation in the arm has been allowed
to recover for a brief period; rest approx. 3-5 minutes for this purpose.

Stethoscope diaphragm not
lying on the pulse position.

Corrective action
Reposition the stethoscope
diaphragm; if necessary, have your
specialised dealer or doctor show
you how to do this.
Check tube.
Clean earpieces.
Do not move your arm, do not
talk.
Reset the air deflating switch.
Measure your arm circumference
in the middle of the upper arm
and compare this with the details
given on the cuff.
Check conditions and repeat
measurement after 3 minutes.
