10.2.3. Battery replacement
Work on the electrical system.
Contact with live parts can lead to an electric
shock.
► Batteries may only be changed by specialists.
► Before beginning any work, observe electrical
safety rules.
1. Disconnect the unit.
2. Secure the unit against being switched back on.
Controller battery change:
If error code E11 is displayed (see → Chapter 4.2.1), im-
mediately contact the maintenance service (see → Chapter
10.4).
For reasons of the completeness of data (date, time), an
uninterrupted power supply is required from this installed
battery.
Carrying out a battery change:
Observe separate instructions for changing a battery (safe
removal and replacement). This is available from the
specialists.
Battery type: According to the instructions for changing a
battery.
10.3. What to do if...
The performance and safety of all units is carefully checked
in the AHT test centre.
If a malfunction occurs (also see → Chapter 9.3) or in the
event of the failure of the control and display elements
(see → Chapter 4.3), immediately contact the maintenance
service (see → Chapter 10.4) and tell them the:

unit type
serial number of the unit (see → Chapter 2.2.1 /addi-
-
tional stickers on the unit (see → Fig. 9),
-
type of malfunction.

10.4. Maintenance services
If there are questions about maintenance (service,
repair, etc.), please contact your regional, responsible
AHT service partner.

Maintenance services have all the necessary and current
information for the start-up and maintenance such as:

spare parts lists
-
circuit diagrams (wiring diagrams)
-
refrigeration wiring diagrams (RI flowcharts)

11. Disposal
Leaking refrigerant or residues of refrigerant can
cause an explosive gas/air mix. Danger of fire.
► Do not damage the pipework.
► Before disassembly and disposal, professionally
open the refrigerant circuit and extract the refri-
gerant safely and completely. No residues may
remain in the refrigerant circuit.
► Extraction of the refrigerant only by specialists.
Improper disposal. Environmental damage.
► Pay particular attention to safe and environmen-
tally sound disposal
- of the refrigerant
- the insulating foam (polyurethane foam thermal
insulation with pentane)
- the compressor oil
- the battery.
► Units: Separate collection of electrical and elec-
tronic equipment in accordance with the valid
national disposal regulations (e.g. WEEE inside
the EU) and the regulations of the local disposal
partner.
► Batteries should be disposed of properly in
accordance with the valid national disposal
regulations.
► Units and batteries may not be disposed of with
normal domestic waste.
