3. Design and Function

The unit is a ready-to-use compact unit.
All individual units are delivered ready to operate and have
their own control units.
The units are pre-programmed at the factory.
Each unit contains hermetically sealed refrigerant circuits
with components that are permanently, technically, sealed
together.
The waste heat arising from the unit is released into the
surrounding air via an air-cooled condenser.
NOTICE
Material and property damage from the trapped hot
exhaust air (heat accumulation).
► It must be possible for the exhaust air to escape at the
top of the unit unhindered.
► Superstructures or suspended ceilings directly at the
top edge of the unit may only be installed in consultation
with the manufacturer.
Displays/shelf displays can be expanded, reduced or repo-
sitioned.
All units are equipped with return air intake gratings as a
standard feature.

3.1. Automatic defrosting

All units have automatic defrosting.
During automatic defrosting, "-d-" appears in the display
" (see → Chapter 4.2).
and the LED symbol
The frequency, duration and timing of the defrosting are
preset. The condensate that is created is channelled out of
the inside of the unit into heated condensate bowls where it
evaporates.

Slipping hazard.
► Check for puddles forming in front of and under
the unit.
► Immediately remove any leaking condensate.
During the defrosting process, there may be a slight tempe-
rature increase shown on the temperature display.
3.2. Night roller blind/
unit lighting function
The night roller blind and unit lighting can be coupled to the
market lighting (controlled by external day/night signal).
Technical data (see → Chapter 2.2):
Day mode function:
If day mode is activated, the night roller blind opens auto-
matically and the unit lighting is switched on.
The power outlet must be live.
Night mode function:
If the day mode is switched off, the night roller blind closes
automatically and the unit lighting is switched off.
The power outlet must not be live.
Automatic closing of the night roller blinds when
the market light control voltage is switched off.
Hands may be trapped.
► When switching off the market light control
voltage, keep your hands away from the night
roller blinds.
While the night roller blind is coming down, the interior
fan and compressor are deactivated automatically. This
prevents the night roller blind from being pushed outward
while closing. This deactivation does not happen when
opening the night roller blind.
Further possibilities for activation of the night roller blind/
unit lighting (unit-specific):
- Control element (see → Chapter 4.2.2)

4. Control and display elements

4.1. Temperature display

The temperature of the units is set at the factory so that the
optimum product temperature is maintained within the stan-
dardised product temperature classes (see → Chapter 2.3).
Display of the interior temperature (air temperature) of
the unit:
Display on top left on the inside of the unit cover (see → Fig. 2).
Display: Battery operation
Monitoring of the interior temperature:
Responsibility:
operating personnel
Frequency:
multiple times per day
