7 Assembling the Lawn

7.1

Attaching the handlebar

WARNING
■ When attaching the handlebar, fingers or other
body parts may get caught between the parts
of the handlebar.
► Work carefully.
► Switch off the lawn mower and remove the
batteries.
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Align the upper part of the handlebar (1) and
bottom part of the handlebar (2) so the
stud (4) engages in the bore (3) on both sides.
► Insert the screws (5) on both sides and align
them so the screw head is flush with the bot‐
tom part of the handlebar (2) on both sides.
► Screw on the star knob nuts (6) on both sides
and tighten firmly.
► Push the cable (7) into the retainer (8).
The handlebar does not need to be removed
again.
7.2 Fitting and Removing the
Grass Box
7.2.1 Engaging the grass catcher box
► Switch off the lawn mower and remove the
batteries.
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► If an extension is attached, detach the exten‐
sion, 7.4.2.
► If a mulching insert is in place: remove the
mulching insert,

► Open the discharge flap (1) and hold it open.
► Take hold of the grass catcher box (2) by the
handle (3) and attach the hook (4) to the
shaft (5).
► Lower the discharge flap (1) onto the grass
catcher box (2).
7.2.2 Detaching the Grass Catcher Box
► Switch the lawn mower off.
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Open the discharge flap and hold it open.
► Remove the grass catcher box upwards by the
handle.
► Close the discharge flap.
7.3 Fitting and Removing the
Mulch Plug
7.3.1 Inserting the mulching insert
► Switch off the lawn mower and remove the
batteries.
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Open the discharge flap (1) and hold it open.
► Take hold of the mulching insert (2) by the
handle (3) and insert it in the discharge
chute (4).
► Close the discharge flap (1).
7.3.2 Removing the mulching insert
► Switch off the lawn mower and remove the
batteries.
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Open discharge flap and hold it open.
► Remove the mulching insert.
► Close discharge flap.
