● Store and handle petrol away from sparks, naked flames,
heat and other ignition sources. Smoking prohibited!
Keep your hands and feet away from moving parts. Do
not use starter fluid. The vapours are highly flammable.
● Do not smoke where petrol is stored or when filling
petrol.
● Do not overfill the tank. Replace the fuel cap properly
after filling.
Note! There may be a plastic cover in the fuel filler tube to
protect the tank during manufacture. Remove and discard
this cover. Replace the fuel cap after refuelling.
● Do not spill fuel, spilled fuel and fuel fumes can lead to a
fire risk. Wipe up any spilled fuel before you start the
engine.
● Do not let you skin come into contact with fuel or inhale
fuel fumes.
● Clean the area around the fuel cap before you open it.
5.8.1 To check the fuel level
A fuel indicator is located inside the fuel tank. Fill up the
tank until the fuel reaches the red stop plate inside of the
strainer (A), do not overfill. (Figure 11)

5.9 To check the engine oil level

Caution! Do a check of the oil level before you oper-
ate the product and after every five working hours.
Caution! The engine is supplied without oil! Do not
start the engine without enough oil! There is a risk of serious
engine damage. Fill up the enginge with oil and check the
oil level before you start the engine.
Caution!
Do not overfill! This can cause the engine to
smoke, be difficult to start or cause soot on the spark plug.
● Check the engine's oil level on a flat surface with the
engine turned off.

Remove the oil filler cap with the dipstick and wipe
the dipstick.

Put back the filler cap with the dipstick without
tightening.

Remove the oil filler cap with the dipstick again and
check the oil marking on the dipstick. Make sure that
the oils level is between the markeings H and L.

Top up the oil if the level is too low. Use engine oil
with correct viscosity. Refer to "9 Technical data" on
page 23.

Replace the filler cap with the dipstick and tighten it.

5.10 To change the engine oil

Caution! Used oil must be disposed of in accordance
with local regulations.

Place a suitable container under the drain plug.

Remove the drain plug.

Tilt the engine to allow the oil to run out into the
container.

Reattach the drain plug and tighten it.

Fill up with oil of the recommended grade to the
upper limit mark.
Note! After the oil change is done, wash your hands or other
parts of the body that came into contact with the oil with
soap and water.
5.11 To check the
Warning!
The muffler gets very hot during use and
remains hot for a long time after the engine has stopped. Do
not touch the muffler, there is a risk of burn injuries.
Note! To keep the engine in good performance, the spark
plug must be clean and have the right spark gap.

Remove the cap from the spark plug and lossed the
spark plug with a spark plug spanner. (Figure 13)

Examine the spark plug. Discard the spark plug if it is
visibly worn or if the insulator is cracked or broken

Clean the spark plug with a steel brush if it is to be
used again.
5.11.1 To measure the gap of the spark plug
Caution! Tighten the spark plug correctly. Loose
spark plugs can overheat and damage the engine.

Measure the spark gap with a feeler gauge.
