4.6 The auger

Warning! Follow the instructions carefully and make
all the necessary adjustments to check that the product
operates correctly before use.
The auger lever is located on the left side of the handle.
Note! To stop the product the drive lever must also be
released.
4.6.1 To
engage the auger
● Pull the auger lever to the handle to engage the auger,
release the lever to disengage.
4.6.2 Function check of auger lever
Warning!
Run a function check before the product is
oeprated for the first time and before you operate at the start
of the season.
Note! When the auger lever is in neutral, there is a very little
play in the wire. The wire must not be overtightened.

Stand in the driving position behind the handle and
engage the auger.

Let the auger remain engaged for about 10 seconds
and then release the auger lever. Repeat several
times.

Let the engine operates with the auger lever in
neutral. Go in front of the product and check that the
auger has come to a stop completely.
Warning!
Go back to the driving position immediately
if auger starts to move and stop the engine. Wait until all
moving parts have completely stopped and adjust the auger
wire.

Start the engine and check that the auger engages
and disengages correctly.

4.7 To adjust the angle of the ejector

The crank angle adjuster is located on the left side of the
product.

Turn the crank clockwise to direct the ejector chute
to the left.

Turn the crank counter-clockwise to direct the ejector
chute to the right.

4.8 To adjust the angle of the deflector

The ejector deflector lever (B) adjusts the angle of the
deflector. Push or pull back the lever to lift or lower the
deflector to the an applicable angle. (Figure 9)

4.9 Skid shoes

Warning! Do not operate the product over gravel
when the engine operates. Gravel can be drawn into the
chute and ejected which can cause personal injury and/or
material damage. The distance between the blade scraper
and the ground can be adjusted as shown in illustration.

● To adjust the skid shoe refer to "5.3 To adjust the skid
shoe" on page 19.

4.10 Working light

The light is switched on and off with the switch on the back
edge of the right side of the panel.

4.11 Clearing tool

The clearing tool hangs on the top handle. Follow the
instructions how to clear blockage; refer to "5.2 To clear the
ejector" on page 18.

4.12 To stop the product

Let the engine operates without load for a few
minutes before you stop it to remove any moisture.

Move the throttle lever to the low revs position.

Stop the engine by turning the ignition key to STOP.

Wipe all the controls on the engine.

Set the fuel cock to the OFF position.

4.13 Practical tips

● If possible, aim the ejector in the direction of the wind.
● Overlap each lap.
● Set the skid shoes 6–7 mm below the shave plate for
normal snow clearing.
● If the snow is firmly packed move the skid shoes upwards
so that the blade scraper plate comes closer to the
ground.
● When you operate on a gravelled surface; move the skid
shoes downwards so that the distance of the blade
scraper plate comes higher from the ground.
● Always clean the snowblower after use.
