● Make sure that the drive lever and auger lever
automatically returns to the neutral position when
released.
● Do not use the product if the ejector chute is missing or
damaged. The safety devices must be fitted correctly and
work correctly.
● Do not start the engine indoors or in an enclosed area.
Exhaust fumes from the engine contain carbon monoxide,
an odourless and highly dangerous gas.
● Be careful when you operate on or when crossing
entrances, roads or pathways.
● Pay attention to traffic and hidden danger.
● Be very careful when you change direction and when
you operate on slopes.
● Do not point the ejector chute at people or animals, and
make sure that no one goes in front of the product.
● Do not remove too much snow too quickly, this can
overload the product.
● Do not operate the product in poor visibility or bad light.
Keep a firm footing and good balance at all times, and
keep a firm grip on the handle. Do not run with the
product.
● Disengage the auger drive during transport and when the
product is not in use.
● Do not operate the product at a fast pace on slippery
surfaces. Be very careful when you go backwards or
when you pull the product towards you.
● Do not put your hands or feet in the ejector or intake
openings. Always use the supplied clearer tool to clear
the ejector.
● Only use the parts and accessories recommended by the
manufacturer. Contact an authorized service center if you
have any questions.

2.3 Reduction of noise and vibrations

● Plan the work so that the exposure to heavy vibrations is
spread over a longer period.
● To reduce noise and vibrations when in use, limit the time
the product is in use, and use low-power/vibration mode
and suitable safety equipment.
● Take the following precautions to minimize the risks of
exposure to vibrations and/or noise:
• Only use the product in accordance with these
instructions.
• Check that the product is in good condition.
• Use accessories in good condition, and which are
suitable for the purpose.

• Keep a firm grip on the handles/grips.
• Maintain and lubricate the product in accordance with
these instructions.

2.4 Electrical safety

Warning! If you do not obey these instructions, there
is a risk of death or injury.
● Before use, make sure that the power outlet, the power
cable and the power plug are not damaged and that
there are no signs of fatigue. Do not use the product if the
power cable or power plug are damaged.
● Make sure that the power cable and power plug and are
grounded.
● Make sure that the extension cable is for outdoor use, not
longer than 10 m, with a cross-sectional area of the wires
of at least 2.5 mm².
● Make sure that the power voltage corresponds to the
rated voltage on the type plate and that the circuit is
fuse-protected.

2.5 To handle fuel

Warning! Handle the fule with care. Petrol is highly
flammable and can be explosive in certain circumstances.
If you get petrol on your skin or clothes, rinse with water
immediately.
Warning! Do not smoke near the product.
● Use only approved fuel containers.
● Store and handle petrol away from sparks, naked flames,
heat and other ignition sources. Do not refuel indoors.
● Do not remove the filler cap or top up with fuel when the
engine operates.
● Let the engine become cool for at least 2 minutes before
refuelling.
● Do not overfill the tank. Fill the fuel tank 1 cm below the
filler pipe, so that the fuel can expand.
● When you reinstall the fuel cap, make sure that it is
tightened and correctly attached.
● Clean up spilled fuel immediately. Move the product away
from any fuel spill and wait 5 minutes before you start the
engine.
● Do not store the product or fuel container indoors where
there are ignition sources such as a boiler, water heater,
tumble drier and electric motors that could emit sparks,
in order to avoid the risk of the ignition of fuel vapour.
