6.2- Maintenance
Engine oil replacement
• Place the machine on a level surface and warm up the
engine for several minutes, then stop the engine.
• Wear protective gloves to avoid spillage on hands.
• Remove both oil filler cap (11) and oil drain plug, then
completely drain the waste oil in a container. See Fig.
11.
• NOTE: Refer to Section 6.5 for proper disposal of
waste oil.
• Restore the oil drain plug onto the machine.
• Refill with the recommended oil (refer to Table 1) and
check the oil level.
Air filter element cleaning
• Unscrew and remove the wing nuts on top of the air filter cover.
• Take off the cover and remove the filter element.
• Wash the filter element using a household detergent or a high flash point solvent, then
squeeze it dry.
• Soak the element thoroughly in clean engine oil, then squeeze out any excess oil.
• Reinstall the filter and air filter cover, securing it with the wing nuts.
