5.4- Operation
IMPORTANT! Allow the engine to warm up for approximately 5 minutes before
beginning your work.
IMPORTANT! Before operating the machine, ensure you are wearing the appropriate
personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, approved safety
goggles, protective gloves, and non-slip footwear.
Feeding the material
• Inspect the material and remove any embedded nails, rope, twine, or rocks before feeding it
into the machine.
• Feed branches (less than 100mm in diameter), leaves, and plant debris through the feeding
hoppers (7).
• Do not force materials into the shredder; feed them steadily to prevent clogging.
• Stand to the side of the hopper with a stable stance and secure footing. Do not overreach.
• Avoid overloading the machine.
Tips for shredding
• Shred tree branches soon after cutting, as they become extremely hard once dry.
• Fresh garden waste like foliage, creepers, and vines contains high moisture, which can
cause material to stick to the cutter head. Allow these materials to dry for a few days
before shredding.
• Materials with dirt, such as roots, will quickly dull the cutting blades. Avoid these or
clean off the dirt before feeding them into the machine.
• When shredding large piles of garden waste, feed the material in smaller, manageable
batches to avoid overloading the machine.
• Alternate between dry and moist materials when possible. This can help prevent clogs
and keep the blades running smoothly.
• Cut long branches into shorter pieces before feeding them into the shredder to reduce
strain on the machine and improve efficiency.
• Pay attention to the engine's speed and sound. If it starts to slow down or struggle,
reduce the amount of material being fed to prevent clogging or damage.
• If a clog occurs, turn off the machine and disconnect the spark plug before attempting to
clear it. Always use a tool, not your hands, to remove debris.
VI. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
WARNING! Before any intervention on product, ensure that the engine is completely
stopped and cooled down, then disconnect the spark plug cap and make sure it cannot
contact the spark plug to prevent accidental starting.
WARNING! Users should only carry out maintenance work in accordance with this
instruction manual. All other service work must be carried out by an authorized service
center.
Reminder: In order to maintain the machine in good working condition, carry out regular
maintenance of the machine after each use and before storage. Any breach or inadequate
maintenance reduces the life of the machine and increases the risk of breakdowns and accidents.
