22 Troubleshooting aids
22.1 Problems with radio reception
Symptom
No radio station is received.
No DAB+ signal is received.
The sound is weak or of poor
quality.
22.2 Problems with the device
Symptom
Device cannot be switched on.
No sound can be .
A noise can be heard.
Other operating
malfunctions, loud noises
or an unpleasant
display faulty.
The display does not switch on.
CD playback disrupted or CD is not
recognised.
Possible cause/remedy
The appliance is not in radio mode. Press
the MODE button.
Check whether DAB+ reception is
possible in the region. Re-align the
aerial.
Try receiving other channels.
Other devices, e.g. televisions, interfere
with reception. Place the device further
away from these appliances.
The antenna is not aligned or orientated.
Change the position of the antenna
Possible cause/remedy
Connect the device to the power supply.
Increase the volume. The wrong source
may have been selected.
Ensure that the speaker cables are
connected correctly.
A mobile phone or other device is emitting
interfering radio waves in the vicinity of the
device. Remove the mobile phone or
device from the vicinity of the device.
Electronic components of the appliance
are faulty. Pull out the mains plug.
Leave the device disconnected from the
power source for approx. 10 seconds.
Reconnect the device.
Switch off the appliance. Pull out the
mains plug, plug it back in and switch on
the appliance.
CD is dirty. Clean the CD.
