8 Basic operation
You can make settings and perform functions using the buttons on the appliance as
well as the remote control. The description of operation in these operating
instructions uses the buttons on the remote control. Please note that the full range
of functions is only possible with the remote control.
8.1 Operating the device with the remote control
You can use the infrared remote control to operate the most important functions of the
appliance from the comfort of your seat. Please note the following points when
operating the appliance with the remote control:

the remote control at the IR receiver (1) on the front of the appliance.
>
There must be a line of sight between the remote control and the IR receiver.
>
If the range of the remote control decreases, the BaGeries should be replaced
with new ones.
The maximum range is approximately 4 metres in front of the device.
