All the settings related to the MIDI interface of the instruments can be found in the MIDI section of the internal
parameters. For your convenience, all parameters are printed on the upper part of the front panel, together
with their short names as they appear on the display. The same table can also be found in this manual at the
beginning of chapter 5.
To access the settings of the MIDI section, press the [ROTARY] and [DRIVE] buttons simultaneously. To cycle
through the MIDI settings, hold down the [ROTARY] button and press [DRIVE] repeatedly until the display
shows the desired parameter. Follow the instructions at the beginning of chapter 5 to cycle through
parameters.
The available MIDI settings are:

MODE ("MdE" on the display): select one of the MIDI data reception modes.

MIDI CHANNEL UPPER ("CHU" on the display): select the MIDI channel you wish to use for the Upper
section.

MIDI CHANNEL LOWER ("CHL" on the display): select the MIDI channel you wish to use for the Lower
section.
-
MIDI CHANNEL PEDALS ("CHP" on the display): select the MIDI channel you wish to use for the Pedals
section.
-
SPLIT POINT UPPER/LOWER ("sUL" on the display): Adjust the Split Point between the Upper and Lower
sections when MIDI MODE 1 is selected.
-
LOWER OCTAVE ("oCt" on the display): transpose the Lower section one octave higher.
-
THRU ("thr" on the display): activate the SOFTH THRU function.

7.1 SELECTING RECEIVING AND TRANSMITTING CHANNELS

1.
Press the [ROTARY] and [DRIVE] buttons simultaneously until the display shows the message:
-
"CHU": to select the Upper section channel.
-
"CHL": to select the Lower section channel.
-
"CHP": to select the Pedals section channel.
2.
Press [VALUE +] or [VALUE -] to select the desired MIDI channel.
7.2 ADJUSTING THE SPLIT POINT BETWEEN THE UPPER AND LOWER
SECTIONS
As already described in par. 4.1, MIDI MODE 1 allows to play both the Upper and Lower sections on a
keyboard connected to a single MIDI channel. When this mode is selected, the keyboard is split in two
sections, Upper and Lower. The Upper section is assigned to the right part of the keyboard and the Lower to
the left, while a note, called Split Point, divides the two sections. When the instrument is switched on, the Split
Point is automatically set to the C3 key, but it can be moved to a different key by following this procedure:
1.
Press the [ROTARY] and [DRIVE] button simultaneously until the display shows the message "sUL".
2.
Press [VALUE +] or [VALUE -] to select a key as Split Point.

7.3 OCTAVE TRANSPOSITION OF THE LOWER SECTION

hile in MIDI MODE 1, the Lower section can be transposed one octave higher. To do so.
1.
Press the [ROTARY] and [DRIVE] buttons simultaneously until the display shows the message "oCt".
2.
Press [VALUE +] or [VALUE -] to select:
-
"off": transposition disabled.
-
" on": transposition enabled.
