4. SWITCHING ON AND NORMAL FUNCTIONING

To switch on the instrument follow these simple rules:
1. Turn the [VOLUME] potentiometer to the left (closed).
2. When using headphones, do not wear them.
3. Switch on the instrument through the [POWER] switch on the rear panel.
4. Wait until the LED light sequence on the front panel is over and the letter " M-- " appears on the display:
the instrument is now ready to be played.
5. Adjust the volume as needed and / or wear headphones if necessary.
After switching on, the instrument always recalls the following settings:

4.1 PLAYING THE LEGEND EXP

Legend Exp
simulates the upper and lower manuals as well as the pedalboard of electromechanical organs.
From this point onward, with regards to
-
upper manual refers to the Upper section
-
lower manual refers to the Lower section
-
pedalboard refers to the Pedals section
These sections can be played in different ways, according to the instrument(s) transmitting the signal and the
user's preferences. First, select the appropriate MIDI data reception mode, called MIDI MODE.
To select a MIDI MODE, press and hold the [ROTARY] button and then push the [DRIVE] button repeatedly.
An alternative procedure is holding down the [DRIVE] button and then [ROTARY] until the letters "MdE" appear
on the display (the same message will appear at the first access to the MIDI menu after switching on the
instrument).
Now press [VALUE +] or [VALUE -], to switch between modes. The display will show the currently selected
MIDI MODE:
