4.6 DRIVE

Legend Exp
The Drive effect of
the analog distortion; the higher the input signal to the amplifier, the greater
the distortion. You will notice therefore that the effect depends on a number
of factors including the position of the expression pedal, the level and
number of pulled-out drawbars and the amount of notes played (at low
volumes, for example, it is necessary to play many notes to drive the signal to
saturation.
Use the [DRIVE] potentiometer to adjust the quantity of distortion.
Legend Exp
allows the user to select the type of distortion effects, using the
display and the controls. For further information see par. 5.1.

4.7 ROTARY

Legend Exp
The
internal Rotary effect simulates the classic acoustic effect
produced by a rotating speaker connected to the organ. This amplification
and
diffusion
system
electromechanical organs. It consists of two sections, one dedicated to
high-pitched tones and the other to bass. Both could rotate at different
speeds, producing a peculiar three-dimensional effect due to the rotation of
the speakers. This effect is the result of the sum of the Doppler effect, due to
the relative movement of the sound source from the listener, and the sound
reflections resulting from the rotation.
Legend Exp
The
effect allows to simulate as closely as possible both the continuous pitch variations caused
by the different rotations of the speakers and the particular resonances generated inside the cabinet.
Through the [SLOW] button you can select the low speed, while using the [FAST] button is selected the high
speed. Pressing the selected speed button (indicated by the led on) will stop the speaker rotation (Brake
mode).
The speed of the Rotary effect can also be controlled through a switch pedal connected to the [ROTARY] jack
on the rear panel. For more information on the pedal, read par.3.2.
Legend Exp
allows the user to switch between different rotating speaker modes, to deactivate the effect or
activate the MEMPHIS STYLE mode. For further information on these three parameters see par. 5.2.

4.8 WHAT ARE PRESETS AND HOW TO USE THEM

The most famous electromechanic organs were also equipped with drawbars combinations through which
factory Presets could be used, without the need to manually change the position of the drawbars. These
combinations, which back then could not be modified by the user, were called Presets.
Presets for each section. To select a Preset, first choose a section for the Preset. To do so, use the
DRAWBARS buttons on the front panel:
-
[ UPPER]: select a Preset for the Upper section.
4 7 2 B
-
[ LOWER]: select a Preset for the Lower section.
4 7 3 B
-
[ PEDALS]: select a Preset for the Pedals section.

Use the buttons on the PRESETS section of the front panel to recall a Preset.
