Assignment of digital switching outputs ("Digital IO")
Information
Connection DO (pin 2, see above) is always available. Connection C/Q / SIO (pin 4, see
above) can only be used as a digital output if an IO-Link data transfer is not required at the
same time.
You can output the limit value switches with the IO-Link process data and as a digital IO
with a switching voltage of 24 V (max. 50 mA). If you want to do this, you must assign a
limit switch to the digital switching outputs. To do so, open the "Digital IO" menu
S
"DI/DO pin function" determines which limit value switch is assigned to pin 2 on the
plug. This digital output is always available when the device is in operation.
S
"C/Q pin function in SIO-mode" determines which limit value is assigned to pin 4 on
the plug when the device is operated in SIO mode. SIO mode means that the load
measurement chain is not connected to any IO-Link master, or the IO-Link master is
being operated in SIO mode. The load measurement chain of pin 4 is switched
automatically from data transmission to digital switching output. Please note that in
this operating state two switching outputs are available, but no measurement data or
other process data is transmitted.

Warnings (monitoring functions)
The electronics monitors the sensor, and continuously compares the mechanical and
thermal loads against the limit values of the measurement chain. With thermal
monitoring, they are also compared against the limit values of the electronic
components.
The electronics uses a high sample rate to analyze the mechanical load. Even very short
load peaks are recorded, and trigger a notification if the limit values are exceeded.
Since output of measured values via the digital data interface/IO-Link connection is at a
lower sample rate, it may be that you cannot find a weight value that was registered as an
overload in the measurement data.
Measured values that have not been zeroed, and have only been high-frequency filtered,
are used to analyze the overload, so zeroing them has no effect on the monitoring
functions.
An IO-Link event will always be generated if the parameters explained below are
exceeded. The master transfers the event to the fieldbus level for further analysis.
