Storage conditions

Drain the fuel and change the engine oil :
1.
Start the unit and allow it to operate until it runs out of fuel.

Set the switch (A7) to

Clean the screen filter (A14-C1).
4.
With the engine still warm, change the engine oil.
5.
To access the fuel drain screw, undo the screw (E1) and remove the spark plug access cover (E2).
6.
Place a suitable container at the outlet of the fuel drain pipe (C2).
7.
Undo the fuel drain screw (C3) and allow the fuel to drain fully into the container before tightening the drain screw.

Place the fuel tap at OFF
Lubricate the cylinders and the valves:

Remove the cap from the spark plug (E3) and the spark plug (A24-E4).
10. Pour approximately a teaspoon of engine oil in through the spark plug opening.
11. Refit the spark plug, the spark plug cap and the spark plug access cover by retightening the screw correctly.
12. Pull the starter-recoil reel handle (A19) several times to distribute the oil inside the cylinders.
Disconnect the battery:
13. Remove the nuts (A4) and the enclosure (A3).
14. Remove the nuts from the battery housing (A4).
15. First disconnect the red cable (+) then the black cable (-) from the battery.
16. Remove the battery retaining strap (A5).
17. Remove the battery (A6) and store it in a clean, dry place.
18. Close the battery housing cover and refit the nuts.
Store the generating set:
19. Clean the outside of the unit with a cloth and apply a rustproofing product to any damaged areas.
20. Cover the unit with a protective cover and store it in its normal position, in a clean, dry and well ventilated area.
This procedure for storing the unit or protecting it over the winter must be respected if it is not used for a period of up to 1 year. For
longer periods of storage, it is recommended to contact your nearest agent or to start up the unit for a few hours every year,
ensuring that the storage procedure is respected afterwards.
