Replace the fuel filter
1.
Close the fuel tap (A12).
2.
Place a suitable container underneath the fuel filter.
3.
Using a suitable wrench, unscrew the fuel filter (A21-C1) and discard it.
4.
Hold the new fuel filter over the container, with the threads facing up, and fill with clean fuel until it reaches the edge of the
threads.
5.
Fit the new fuel filter, tightening it securely by hand.
6.
Open the fuel tap and check that there are no leaks.
7.
All traces of fuel should be wiped off with a clean cloth and the fuel tap closed again.
Because the fuel tap remains open during this operation, the fuel circuit may deprime. In this case, end the operation, open the fuel
tap and use the button on the fuel supply pump (C2) to reprime the fuel circuit.

Replacing the air filter

1.
Unlock the air filter cover (D2) and remove it.
2.
Remove the filter element and replace it.

Refit the air filter cover and lock it.
5.3.4
Check the radiator exchange surface
1.
Using a screwdriver, remove the plate heat exchanger access panel (A23).
2.
Check the condition of the plate heat exchanger (A24-E1): it should be in good condition.
3.
If necessary, use a brush and clean diesel to clean it.
4.
Once the operation is complete, refit the plate heat exchanger access panel and tighten it securely.
5.3.5
Clean the generating set and its retention container
To ensure it operates correctly, the inside and outside of the unit must be cleaned regularly. If the unit is installed inside, always
check that the installation is clean and in good condition. If the unit is being used outside (building sites, dusty, muddy or densely
wooded areas, corrosive environment, etc.), it must be cleaned more frequently.
IMPORTANT
1.
Wash the outside of the generating set using water with a mild detergent added (e.g. car shampoo).
A cleaning foam may be used and wiped off using a soft, absorbent cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed using a suitable solvent (white
spirit or equivalent) and wiped off using a soft, absorbent cloth.
2.
Rinse with clear fresh water to remove any trace of cleaning product.
3.
Open the top cover (A13) and access door on the generating set (A14).
4.
Check that there is no fluid or debris in the retention container (A7) : if necessary, pump the fluid into a suitable container.
Any fluids present in the retention container (rainwater, engine oil or fuel) must be recycled or disposed of according to the applicable
local regulations.
5.
Close the top cover and access door on the generating set.
6.
Apply an rustproofing product to damaged areas, change defective parts and damaged labels if necessary.
Only use original parts and consult an agent if necessary.
6.1
Transport and handling conditions
The unit should be handled gently and sudden movements should be avoided. Ensure that the place where it is to be stored or
used is carefully prepared beforehand. Before any fixed installation on a trailer or inside a vehicle, consult one of our approved
agents.
Before transporting the unit, take the following necessary precautions:
1.
Check that the routes to be used are smooth and drivable. If it proves necessary to use uneven roads, drain the fuel into a
container before setting off.
2.
Check that the bolts are correctly tightened, close the fuel tap (if fitted) and disconnect the battery (if fitted).
3.
The unit should always be transported in its normal operating position; never lay it on its side. Ensure that the unit cannot
fall from the vehicle carrying it, but without exerting too much force (risk of damaging the unit).
6.2

Storage conditions

This procedure for storing the unit or protecting it over the winter must be respected if it is not used for a period of up to 1 year. For
longer periods of storage, it is recommended to contact your nearest agent or to start up the unit for a few hours every year,
ensuring that the storage procedure is respected afterwards.
1.
Start the unit and allow it to operate until it runs out of fuel.
2.
With the fuel tap open, replace the fuel filter (A21-C1).
The fuel circuit will drain, ensuring that the unit remains in good condition.
3.
Close the fuel tap (A12).
4.
Disconnect the battery (A3)
5.
Top up the oil.
6.
Replace the air filter (A22).
7.
Check the radiator's exchange surface (A24-E1).
8.
Clean the unit and cover it with a protective cover.
9.
Store it in its normal position, in a clean, dry and well ventilated area.

Material damage
[Generating set]
If the retention container level is too high, this may irreparably damage the generating set: check there
is no fluid present before each start-up, and clean as often as is necessary. Use of high pressure
cleaning equipment is prohibited as this may seriously damage the unit. Any major scratches must be
repaired (please contact your nearest agent).
