11. Replacing the Remote Control Battery

Remove the battery when the device will not be used for a while.
Leaking or damaged batteries might cause severe burns if they come into contact with the skin.
Therefore, use suitable protective gloves.
Make sure that the battery is neither short-circuited nor thrown into a fire. Furthermore, the
battery cannot be recharged. There is a risk of explosion.
• If the remote control is no longer functioning properly, or the the range decreases considerably, the
battery is run-down and must be replaced with a battery of the same type.
• Unlock the safety latch and remove the battery holder on the back side of the remote control.
• Remove the used battery and insert a new 3 V lithium CR2025 button cell. The correct polarity is indicated
on the back of the remote control.
• Slide the battery holder back into the remote control. The safety latch must snap into place.

12. Maintenance

Regularly check the technical safety of the effect spotlight device, for example, for damage to the mains
cable or the housing.
If a safe operation can no longer be assumed, the device must be put out of operation and secured against
unintended operation. Pull the power plug out of the socket!
There must be assumed that safe operation can no longer be possible if:
• the product exhibits visible damage
• the device no longer functions
• the unit was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
• after it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport
Always observe the following safety indications before cleaning or servicing the effect spotlight device:
Live components may be exposed, when the covering is opened or components are removed.
The device must be disconnected from all voltage sources before starting any maintenance or
repair works.
Capacitors in the device may still be charged, even if the device has been disconnected from all
power supplies.
Repairs may only be carried out by qualified personnel who are familiar with the hazards in-
volved and the relevant regulations.
