7. Assembly

The assembly and the installation of the device must be carried out by a specialist who is
familiar with the hazards and the relevant regulations. The maintenance, operation and com-
missioning of this product may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
When selecting the location for installing your device, take care that it will not be subjected
to shaking, vibrations, dust, heat, cold and moisture. Furthermore, keep the product away from
strong transformers or motors.
Never cover the unit. When installing with other equipment, make sure that there is sufficient
ventilation. Keep a sufficient distance from other devices and walls. Do not install the light
effect device near heat sources. Do not point any strong beams or light sources onto the device.
This may lead to overheating (risk of fire).
Do not drill extra holes or screw any extra screws for mounting purposes into the case. Contact
with dangerously high voltages could become possible.
The device must be mounted out of normal reach.
Illuminated objects must be at least 0.5 m away from the device's light outlet. Easily-flammable
materials, such as decorative fabrics too, must be at least 0.5 m away from the device. Other-
wise, such materials may catch fire!
When installing the product, make sure that the mains cable is not pinched or damaged by
sharp edges.
During installation and service works, the area below the installation location must be cor-
doned off.
The installation surface or mounting fixture must be designed so that it can withstand ten times
the loading capacity for at least one hour without permanent damaging deformation.
It is also essential that the device is secured by means of a second safety restraint, which is
independent of the proper mounting supports, when the device is installed in an elevated posi-
tion. If the main supports fail, no part of the installation should be able to fall down.
Observe all the relevant regulations in your country when installing the device.
Acceptance test (in case of industrial/public use):
Before first use and after any significant modifications, the installation (including the electrical
connections) must be checked by a specialist. An annual check by a technical expert is required.
• Install the effect spotlight device by means of a mounting bracket on the ceiling, the wall or on a suitable
crossbeam. When installing it, make sure that the device cannot swing freely. Only use mounting mate-
rials that are compatible with the fastening surface and capable of bearing the weight of the light effect
device.
• When installing in an elevated location, secure the device with an additional suitable safety restraint
cable or safety net. The safety restraint cable or net must be capable of supporting the light effect device
in the event of a fault in the main support system. There is a safety cable eyelet to attach the safety cable
on the rear panel of the device.
• Set the desired inclination angle and tighten well the knurled screws on the mounting bracket.
