Commissioning

a) Remove Car Body
Pull the two safety clips out and take off the car body upwards.
b) Installing the Receiver Aerial Cable
Route the aerial cable through the enclosed aerial tube
and plug it into the corresponding holder between the
chassis and the servo/receiver; see arrow in the figure on
the right.
For a wide range, the aerial needs to protrude from the
vehicle as vertically as possible.
Ensure that the aerial cable is not damaged.
Never shorten the aerial cable! Never coil the
aerial cable! This greatly reduces the range!
c) Configuring the Speed Controller
The speed controller has two jumpers to configure the
driving function and the rechargeable battery type.
Jumper "Reverse" (A): This switches reverse driving off
("Disable") or on ("Enable").
Jumper "Battery" (B): Sets which drive battery is connect-
ed to the speed controller (LiPo or NiMH).
Important!
If you use a LiPo drive battery but set the re-
chargeable battery type to NiMH, the recharge-
able battery will be deep discharged and de-
stroyed.
Therefore, always set the proper rechargeable
battery type before operating the vehicle.
The setting "Lipo" causes the speed controller
to reduce the motor power to 50 % when the
battery voltage drops below 6.5 V.
The speed controller switches off the motor be-
low a battery voltage of 6.0 V. This way, the LiPo
drive battery is protected from harmful deep dis-
charge.
