1. Introduction
We are delighted that you have decided to purchase
the Vario jet recycling sandblaster. This unit sets new
standards with regard to function, efficiency, safety
and ergonomics. Please note the following tips in or-
der to ensure a long and problem-free service life.
2. Description /
Applications
The Vario jet recyclable sandblaster is for use in
dental laboratories in order to carry out the remov-
al of residual investment material and oxides from
frameworks (mainly model casting). It boasts a touch
control pad that is not affected by dirt and is sealed
against dust in order to ensure long and problem-free
functioning.
The recyclable sandblaster can be set to manual
or automatic mode dependent on choice. The con-
struc-tion of the unit ensures excellent blasting effi-
ciency within a short period of time and uses compar-
atively less blasting material (on average 100 - 300 g
per hour, dependent on extractor unit).
The funnel-shaped sand silo capacity of more than
5 kg allows long periods free from interruption. The
parameters of working pressure, time, automatic /
manual and extraction On / Off + run-on time (via an
external unit) can be set on a sliding scale within the
total potential.
2.1 Ambient Conditions
(in accordance with DIN EN 61010-1)
The Vario jet may only be operated:
• Indoors;
• Up to an altitude of 2.000 m [6.500 ft] above sea
level;
• At an ambient temperature of 5 - 40 °C
[41 - 104 °F]
;
*)
• At a maximum relative humidity of 80 % at 31 °C
[87.8 °F], decreasing linearly to 50 % relative hu-
midity at 40 °C [104 °F]
• With a mains power supply where current fluctua-
tions do not exceed 10 % of the nominal value;
• Under level 2 contamination conditions;
• Under overvoltage category II conditions.
*)
Between 5 – 30 °C [41 - 86 °F], the unit can be operat-
ed at a relative humidity of up to 80 %. At temperatures
between 31 - 40 °C [87.8 - 104 °F], the humidity must
decrease proportionally in order to ensure operation-
al readiness (e.g., at 35 °C [95 °F] = 65 % humidity; at
40 °C [104 °F] = 50 % humidity). The unit may not be
operated at temperatures above 40 °C [104 °F].

from the socket.
Before changing the fluorescent lamp make
sure it is unplugged.
Do not push the lamp too hard (danger of

cloth!
Do not sandblast unprotected skin
>>> danger of injury!
Before connecting the unit check the volt-
age against that on the unit ID.
The unit interrupts blasting when the pro-
tective glass is open. Do not readjust the
switch. Escaping blasting material may
cause eye injury.
It is the responsibility of the operator that
national regulations during operation and
regarding a repeated safety inspection of
electrical equipment are complied with.
For Germany these are the regulation 3 by
DGUV (German Statutory Accident Insur-
ance) in relation with VDE 0701-0702
(Association for Electrical & Electronic
Technology).
