Troubleshooting (continued)
The CLOCK indicator continues blinking and does not stay lit
normally.
e If a clock signal is not being input, set the clock mode to OFF
(page 25).
e A signal with which the unit cannot be synchronized might be
being input. Check the connection of the CLOCK SYNC IN con-
nectors and the settings of the connected device.
"CLOCK!" appears on the display.
e There is a problem with the clock setting or a connection. See
"Clock mode setting" on page  25 about the clock setting and
"Making connections" on page 10 about connections.
"TRAY!" appears on the display when the disc tray opens and
closes.
e "TRAY!" appears on the display if something is blocking the
front of the disc tray, the disc is not loaded properly or the tray
stops during opening or closing. Press the tray OPEN/CLOSE
(-) button after removing the cause to return the tray to its
original position.

This unit uses a microprocessor, so noise and other external interfer-
ence could cause it to stop functioning properly. In such a case, turn
the unit off and wait about one minute before restarting operation
from the beginning.
Note about condensation
If this unit is brought from a cold outdoor environment into a
warm room, or the heater has just been turned on in the room
where it is located, for example, condensation might occur on
operating parts or lenses, resulting in improper operation. If this
occurs, leave the unit on and wait 1–2 hours. This should enable
normal playback.
