Preliminary information

ACCESSING TECHNICAL MENU

To start up the system and then programme it by keypad, access
the Installer Menu (hereafter the Technical Menu) .
Depending upon the
TECH MENU ACCESS
parameter, access to the Technical Menu may or may not be
preceded by the User Code .
This parameter can only be changed via PC with SWLINK software .
Simultaneous access from more than one keypad to the
technical or user menu is not permitted . The Technical Code can
be changed later .

To access the Technical Menu directly, the system must be off . Key
in the Technical Code and then key (A) . If the code has less than 6
digits, confirm entry of the code with (*) .

To access the Technical Menu, key in the User Code then the Tech-
nical Code and finally key (A) . Press key

Some parameters might require the entry of numbers from 10 to
16 . To do this you must select "tens" by pressing (0) .
Example: to enter 13, you must press the following keys in
(0)
and (3) .

OPENING / CLOSING CONTROL UNIT

When the control unit is opened by removing the cover, the system
goes into alarm mode . In order to avoid this, first go into the
Technical Menu .
Once the control unit cover is open, if you want to exit the Technical
Menu to do tests, maintenance or reprogramming, the central tam-
per "JP3" must be temporarily excluded .
In addition, to avoid activating an unwanted siren or telephone
calls, you can disable these by putting the system into maintenance
mode .

SYSTEM UNDER MAINTENANCE / OPERATION

Before any maintenance or programming operation, the Control unit
must be put into maintenance status . See also . . .
In maintenance mode the control unit disables:
Voice calls and SMS .

Activating alarm outputs .
It is still possible, however, to test the disabled functions via the
User Menu and Technical Menu .
To activate maintenance status set dip 1 to ON as illustrated .
Maintenance status is shown in the first row of the display, on the
local keypad and those connected on the Bus .
IN MAINTENANCE
ENTER CODE
When maintenance/programming is completed, restore the system
to service, in one of the following ways:
METHOD 1
1 .
Pass a valid key over the local reader to temporarily disable the
control unit tamper .
2 .
Put the control unit into service, setting Dip 1 to OFF .
3 .
Close the control unit within 30" before the control unit tamper
alarm is activated .
METHOD 2
1 .
Go into the technical menu via the local keypad .
2 .
Put the control unit into service, setting Dip 1 to OFF .
3 .
Close the control unit .
4 .
Exit the technical menu
Service status (shown by the date and time set) is displayed in the
first row of the display, on the local keypad and those connected
on the Bus .

ONCE THE CONTROL UNIT IS CLOSED, WAIT FOR THE KEYPAD
BACKLIGHTING TO GO OFF BEFORE USING IT, TO ALLOW FOR ITS
CALIBRATION .
