Bohren
1 .Ziehen Sie die Bohrgriffe mit nur
soviel Kraft nach unten, daß der
Bohrer in das Holz schneidet.
2. Ein zu langsames Bohren kann
dazu führen, daß der Bohrer ver-
brennt. Ein zu schnelles Bohren
kann zum Abwürgen des Motors,
zum Riemenschlupf oder zum
Losreißen des Werkstückes und
Bruch des Bohrers führen.
3. Beim Bohren von Metall muß die
Bohrerspitze geölt werden, um
das Verbrennen der Spitze zu ver-
meiden.
Wartung Ihrer
Radialbohrmaschine
Warnung:
Zu Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit drehen
Sie den Schalter auf AUS und ziehen
Sie den Netzstecker, bevor Sie Ihre
Bohrmaschine warten oder schmie-
ren.
Blasen oder saugen Sie oft den Staub
von allen Teilen und dem
Motorgehäuse der Bohrmaschine.
Eine Schicht Gleitwachs auf dem
Tisch und am Ständer, vertikal und
horizontal, unterstützt die Sauberhal-
tung der Oberflächen und ein leich-
tes Arbeiten.
Warnung:
Um Schocks oder Brandgefahr zu
vermeiden, muß ein durch Abnut-
zung oder Schnitte beschädigtes
Netzkabel sofort ausgetauscht wer-
den.
Schmierung
Alle Bohrmaschinenlager wurden im
Werk mit Fett versorgt. Eine weitere
Schmierung ist nicht nötig.
Schmieren Sie von Zeit zu Zeit die
Zahnräder und Zahnstangen, den
Tischhebemechanismus, die Spindel
und Zahnstangenzähne der Hohl-
weIle. Öffnen Sie die Riemenab-
deckung und sprühen Sie eine kleine
Menge Öl auf die Spindelwelle.
Es darf kein Öl auf den Riemen
kommen!

Feeding
1. Pull down the feed handles with
only enough effort to allow the drill
bit to cut.
2. Feeding too slowly might cause
the drill bit to burn. Feeding too
rapid I y might stop the motor,
causethe belt or drill to slip, or
tear theworkpiece loose and
break the drill bit.
3. When drilling metal, it may be
necessary to lubricate the drill bit
tip with motor oil, to prevent
burning the tip.
Maintaining your drill
press
Warning:
For your own safety, turn the switch
OFF and remove the plug from the
power source outlet before main-
taining or lubricating your drill press.
FrequentIy blow or vacuum dust
from all drill press parts and motor
housing.
A coat of automotive paste wax
applied to the table and columns,
vertical and horizontal, will help to
keep the surfaces clean and working
smoothly.
Warning:
To avoid shock or fire hazard, if the
power cord is worn or cut in any
way, have it replaced immediately.
Lubrication
All of the drill press ball bearings are
packed with grease at the factory.
They require no further lubrication.
Periodically lubricate the gears and
racks, table elevation mechanism,
the spindle and the rack (teeth) of the
quill. Open the belt guard cover and
spray a small amount of oil on the
spindle shaft. Do not get oil on the
belt.
