Maintenance and Servicing

Every reverse osmosis system
is supplied with potable water.
In addition to various salts the
potable water also contains differ-
ent microorganisms present in the
potable water. It is therefore only a
matter of time before sanitization|
cleaning is required. The unit is
factory-set with the various main-
tenance cycles. Prompts will be
given with regard to the work to
be performed and consumables
to be replaced.

After these times have eplapsed,
the corresponding alarm message
will appear in the second display
line alternating with the current
display.
Note!
The alarm message is only activiat-
ed in the "operate" display.
The pretreatment cartridge and RO
module installation is described
with the Initial Operation work.
Disassembly and re-installation
are performed accordingly. Please
follow the instructions that appear
in the display when prompted.
Sanitization is necessary to reduce
bacterial growth and to minimize
and|or inhibit the build-up of a
biofilm within the cartridges or
piping.
The frequency with which you will
need to clean your unit depends on
your feed water's characteristics,
your purity requirements and your
water consumption.

Warning
Severe electrical shock hazard
or danger of electrocution!
Only trained qualified personnel
may carry out service and repair
work.
System Cleaning
Note!
The arium
cleaned prior to new installation
and at regular intervals.
To remind you to perform cleaning,
the message "Timeout System Sani-
tization" will appear on the display
according to the factory setting.
This message will blink on your
display until a complete cleaning
cycle has been performed.
The audio alarm can be stopped by
24 month
switching the Enter button.
3 month
6 month
At the end of the sanitization cycle,
this reminder function will reset
automatically.
!
Warning!
The reverse osmosis system must
be cleaned with a special cleaning|
sanitization solution.
Wear protective eyeglasses and rub-
ber|latex gloves when performing
the sanitization procedure. Labora-
tory chemical safety procedures
should be followed when handling
any laboratory chemicals.
Have the following ready prior to
cleaning|sanitization:
– Cleaning|Sanitization kit with
Order no. 612CDS
– Container for 1–2 liter to prepare
the cleaning solution
– 1 liter water (if possible use RO
water)
To clean the system:
1. Prepare cleaning solution.
Therefore bring the content of one
sanitization syringe 612CDS in the
1–2 liter container and fill it up
with 1 liter water (if possible use
RO water).
2. Press Menu to activate the Main
Menu.

3. Select <Maintenance> and press
Enter to confirm. The display will
show the following:

4. If require, use the arrow key to
scroll down and select <Sanitiza-
tion> in the menu. Press Enter to
confirm.

5. Select <RO-Unit> and press Enter
to confirm. The display will show
the following:

Note!
The program can no longer be
interrupted, once the safety prompt
has been confirmed.
6. Choose <Yes> to proceed system
cleaning and press Enter to con-
firm. Follow the instructions that
appear in the display and push
Enter after each step is completed.
Note!
After sanitization check to make
sure that all tubes are securely
installed and leak tight.
After all work is completed,
the unit is operational again.
