RO Module Installation
RO modules are designed to remove
up to 99% of salt and organic
contaminants found in potable
water. Configured in parallel, the
two RO modules of the arium
61316 are capable of producing up
to 16 liters per hour with a 55%
recovery rate. When the system
shuts down, automatic membrane
flushing is carried out and thereby
prevents potential contamination
and prolongs the life of the RO
modules.
The RO modules are constructed
out of thin-film composites, spiral-
wound membranes encapsulated
in (white) polypropylene housing.
Note!
The RO modules do not contain a
preservative solution for shipment.
No special sanitization is necessary.
To install them, please proceed
as follows:
1. Remove both RO modules from
the packaging.
2. Remove shipping plugs from
inlet and outlet ports on the RO
modules.
3. Check that no water feed is
connected.
4. Note the color-coded connectors
at the top and the bottom of the
modules.
Grey = feed water inlet
Red = concentrate drain
Blue = permeate drain
5. Place the first RO module, in front
of the safety ring, labeled with the
corresponding blue number. Push
the module in the installed safety
ring. Repeat this procedure with the
second RO module.
®
6. Install both RO modules, by con-
necting the coloured labeled tubes
in the system with the same labeled
connections on the RO modules.
7. Check to make sure that all connec-
tors are securely connected. Pull on
all the connections to make sure
that they are all firmly locked into
the safety ring.
The installation of the RO modules
have been completed.
Note!
Prior to new installation, the
RO modules have to be flushed.
For further steps please follow
the subsequent chapter "Initial
Operation", under "Flushing".
