Pressure Tank Installation
The arium
®
613APV pressurized
storage tank, is optional supplied
together with the arium
system. It is a self-contained down-
stream vessel. All materials used
in construction are FDA approved.
The water cell contained within the
tank is a flexible butyl rubber mem-
brane which expands and collapses
as it is filled or emptied. As the bag
fills, the pressure will increase in
the gas-filled interface between the
outside of the bag and the internal
surface of the tank wall. This will be
indicated on the built-in pressure
gauge on the tank. No external
venting is required.
1. Make sure system power and feed
water are switched off.
2. Remove storage tank from packag-
ing and inspect for damage.
3. Install tank at any location up
to approx. 3 meters (8") from the
system.
4. Push the other end of the blue
labeled permeate tube, which is
connected with the system, into the
product inlet on the tank until the
tube bottoms out in the fitting.
Note!
Bear in mind that the supplied
shut-off valve has to be installed
between pressure tank and RO
system. Please be sure that the
shut-off valve is open.

Note!
Be aware that all previous described
installations have been prepared

and finished.
5. Open the feed water line to the
RO system and switch on the
power.
Note!
By the use of RO water or a tank
pressure <2.5 bar the system starts
automatically to produce reverse
osmosis water. If the tank is full
the system stops automatically.
6. For further settings please follow
the chapter "Initial Operations",
"Tank System".
After successful installation the bar
graph in the display indicates the
reservoir level. When the tank is
filled (100 %), it has a system pres-
sure of 3 bar.
Note!
Prior to new installation, the
tank has to be flushed|cleaned.
For further steps please follow
the subsequent chapter "Initial
Operation", under "Flushing".
7. Connect ultrapure water system or
other RO water equipment to the
tank.
To utilize the advantages of the
system's pressure, a pressure tank
should always be installed. If this is
not possible, a depressurized tank
may also be installed. In such cases,
the system can be controlled by a
float switch. A socket is located on
the left side of the unit.
Note!
As supplied from the manufacturer,
the arium
®
613APV pressure tank
is configured for upright (vertical)
floor mounting. However, the tanks
may be oriented in any direction
to accommodate installation.
Note!
®
The arium
pressurized tanks have
two connections for consumers:
e.g. arium
®
611 ultra pure water
system, dish washer etc.
Note!
Refer to chapter "Service and
Maintanance" of this manual for
cleaning instructions if required.
