any rescue in total safety. In the event of your product
being damaged by a chemical, do not use the product
and consult the manufacturer or his agent. If you
have any doubts regarding the safe condition of the
product, or if the product has been used to arrest
a fall, it is essential to your personal safety that the
PPE be withdrawn from service and sent back to the
manufacturer or a qualified repair centre for checking,
or destruction. Following examination, the centre will
either deliver or refuse written authorisation to re-use
the PPE. It is strictly forbidden to modify or repair a PPE
yourself. Only the manufacturer or a repair centre is
qualified to carry out these repairs.
Check the serviceable condition of the harness (cf. Fig.
IV p.9):
No incipient breaks in the webbing,
No deformation of the D-links,
Correct operation of the buckle systems,
Integrity of the seams,
Good condition of the metal components.
The non-tripping of the fall indicators
Your harness may have several fall indicators : (cf. Fig.
IV p.9):
On the back plate (where the back D-Ring is) : if
this fall indicator is triggered, an element of the
back plate will break.
On the front webbing loops (front attachment
webbing points) : if this fall indicator is
triggered, the red stitching on each chest
webbing loops will break. A fall indicator will
then be visible (warning label indicating that
the product should not be used anymore)
On the chest strap (chest attachment point via
one D-Ring) : if this fall indicator is triggered,
the red stitching on the chest strap will break.
2-4 PUTTING AND ADJUSTMENT ON THE FALL
ARREST HARNESS
Please proceed as follows in order to put your harness
on without difficulty (cf. Fig. V p.10):
Take the harness by the Back 'D' ring, (cf. A)
Put on the shoulder straps one after the other,
(cf. B-C-D)
Fasten the belt around the waist (cf. E)
Adjust the belt's adjustment buckle by pulling
or releasing the end of the strap (cf. F)
Pass the thigh straps between your legs, in
order to lock them into the buckles on either
side of your hips. (cf. G-H)
Be careful not to cross the thigh straps
Adjust the thigh straps by pulling or releasing
the strap end (cf. I)
Close the chest strap, (cf. J)
Adjust the front adjustment buckles one after
the other by pulling on or releasing the end of
the strap. (cf. K)
Adjust the chest straps horizontally by pulling
on or releasing the end of the strap, or
vertically by pulling the park points up or down
(depending on the harness model). (cf. L/M)
For BodyFit harness models, adjust the belt
vertically by pulling on one of the two side
buckles to move the belt up or down and side
to side. (see fig. N)
For a fall arrest harness to be totally efficient, it must be
properly adjusted (not too tight or too loose, and thigh
straps must be in a horizontal position on the legs).
Please note: harnesses made of elasticised webbing
require a tighter fit.
Once your harness is adjusted, check that no webbing
is twisted or crossed over, that all the buckles are
correctly attached and that the back 'D' is situated at
the level of the shoulder blades.
For optimum safety, do not hesitate to seek help .

WHILE IN USE

Protect your PPE against all risks associated with the
work environment: thermal, electrical, or mechanical
shocks, acid splashes, sharp edges, etc.
While in use, regularly inspect the adjustment and/or
attachment elements.
If your harness has been subjected to a fall, your PPE
must be withdrawn from service and returned to the
manufacturer or a qualified repair center for inspection
or disposal.
2 - 5 HOW TO TAKE OFF THE HARNESS
After work, once there is no risk of fall from height
anymore, unlock the different buckles to take off the
harness.

3 - 1 USE INFORMATION PRIOR TO USE
USAGE WITH A FALL ARREST SYSTEM
To properly attach the fall arrest harness to an
anchorage point (compliant with standard EN 795

devices) and to ensure that the work is performed in
a manner that decreases the risk of falling and the fall
height to a maximum, we recommend:
