m Warning: Incorrect fuels shall not be used as they
may prove hazardous.
m Warning: Do not use combustion engine powered
appliances indoors unless adequate ventilation is as-
sessed by national labour authorities.
m Warning: Ensure that any exhaust emissions are
not in the vicinity of air intakes.
Safety warnings gasoline
m Warning: Use extra care in handling fuels. They
are flammable and the vapours are explosive. The
following points must be observed.
• Use only an approved container.
• Never remove the fuel cap or add fuel with the pow-
er source running. Allow engine exhaust compo-
nents to cool before refuelling.
• Do not smoke.
• Never refuel the machine indoors.
• Never store the machine or fuel containers inside,
where is an open flame, such as a water heater.
• If fuel is spilled, do not attempt to start the power
source, but move the machine away from the area
of spillage before starting.
• Always replace and securely tighten the fuel cap
after refuelling.
• If the tank is drained, this should be done outdoors.
Safety features
Thermal relief valve
A thermal relief valve is provided to protect the pump
from overloading if the spray gun is closed for an ex-
tended length of time or the nozzle becomes plugged.
However, it is intended to be used as a backup sys-
tem and avoid the overheating of the pump.
Switch the pressure washer "0", if it will not be used
for longer than five minutes. This reduces wear, pre-
vents fuel consumption and extends the live of the
pump by avoiding heat.
Safety lock off latch
To prevent accidental discharge of high pressure wa-
ter, the safety latch on the trigger should be engaged
whenever the pressure washer is not in use (refer to
operating instruction).
Water connection
• Comply with the regulations of your water supply
company.
• All connecting hoses must have properly sealed
joints.
• Make sure that the supply hose is at least 12.7 mm
(1/2") in diameter and is reinforced.
• The appliance should never be used on the drink-
ing water supply without a back flow valve. Water
which has passed the back flow valve is regarded
as undrinkable.
• The high-pressure hose must not be damaged
(danger of bursting). A damaged high-pressure
hose must be replaced immediately. Only use hos-
es and connections recommended by the manufac-
turer.
• Highpressure hoses, fittings and couplings are
important for the safety of the appliance. Use only
hoses, fittings and couplings recommended by the
manufacturer.
• Only clean or filtered water should be used for in-
take.
m Warning!
Running engine gives off carbon monoxide, an odor-
less, colorless, poison gas. Breathing carbon mon-
oxide can cause nausea, fainting or death. Some
chemicals or detergents may be harmful if inhaled or
ingested, causing severe nausea, fainting or poison-
ing.
m Warning!
Use of pressure washer can create puddles and slip-
pery surfaces. High pressure spray could cause you
to fall if you are too close to the cleaning surface.
• Keep spray nozzle between 20 to 60 inches away
from cleaning surface.
• The cleaning area should have adequate slopes
and drainage to reduce the possibility of a fall due
to slippery surfaces.
m Warning!
Fuel and its vapors are extremely flammable and ex-
plosive. Fire or explosion can cause severe burns or
death.
When adding fuel
Do not overfill tank. Allow space for fuel expansion.
When operating equipment
• Do not tip engine or equipment at angle which
causes fuel to spill.
• Do not spray flammable liquids.
When transporting or repairing equipment
• The fuel tank must be EMPTY for transport or re-
pair.
• The high-pressure cleaner must be transported
in an upright position and secured against tipping
over, as fuel and oil may leak.
