Safety instructions for hedge trimmer
It is essential to remove foreign objects from the hedge
(e.g. wire), because these can damage the cutting
device of the hedge trimmer.
Take care with overhead power lines.
Keep your hands and feet away from the cutting device
when it is moving.
Do not use the hedge trimmer for picking up or
shovelling away pieces of wood or other objects.
When you release the throttle lever, the cutting device
continues to run for a short time (coasting effect).
Start the cut once the cutting device is already running.
Do not use a cutting device that is blunt, cracked or
damaged.
Never touch wire fences or the ground with the running
cutting device.
Switch the engine off and allow the machine to come
to a standstill if
The cutting device touches a foreign body.
The operating noise level increases.
The machine vibrates unusually powerfully.
Disconnect the spark plug connector from the
spark plug and take the following measures:
- Check the machine for damage;
- Check for loose parts and secure all loose parts;

Important
The machine is not allowed to be operated unless
it has been fully assembled.

Engine unit

Installing the handle
1. Place the bottom part of the handle onto the rubber
sleeve on the stem tube of the engine unit (5).
2. Place the handle on the bottom part of the handle and
attach both parts with the screws, washers and spring
washers.

Cutting blade

Installing the guard plate
1. Place the metal tab (6-2) under the guard plate (6-3).
2. Use 4 screws (6-1) to secure to the split shaft.
The knife integrated in the guard plate (line cutter)
automatically cuts the line to the optimum length.
Installing the cutting blade
1. Remove the smaller cutting guard from the cutting
plate.

3. Place the cutting blade (8-4) on the driver plate (8-
2) so that the hole in the cutting plate precisely aligns
with the guide circle in the driver plate.

5. Screw the fastening nut (7) onto the guide pin of the
drive shaft (1). To do this, insert the Allen key (3)
into the hole provided and tighten by turning the key
anticlockwise.
6. Secure the nut with the split pin.
7. Install the smaller cutting guard back onto the guard
plate.
