Chain sprocket
The load on the chain sprocket is particularly intense.
Regularly check the teeth of the chain sprocket for wear
or damage.
Clean the chain sprocket and the attachment of the guide
rail using a brush.
A worn or damaged chain sprocket reduces the
service life of the saw chain, and so the chain
sprocket should be renewed without delay by the
customer service.
Hedge trimmer attachment
Check the hedge trimmer for wear after each use;
in particular, check the sliding play of the cutting
device.
Adjusting the cutting device
Readjust the sliding play if
The cut material jams between the blades,
The play has increased due to normal wear and tear
on the cutting device after lengthy use.
In order to achieve good cutting results, it is necessary
to set the sliding play between the blades and the bar
correctly.
1. Unscrew the nuts on the top side of the cutting device
(11-2).
2. Lightly tighten the screws on the underside (11-3)
3. Turn the screws back anticlockwise by a quarter to
half a turn.
4. Secure the screws with the screwdriver and tighten
the nuts.
The sliding play is set correctly if the washer under
the screw head can still be turned easily to and fro
by hand.
5. Lubricate the cutting device with environmentally
friendly lubricating oil.

Lubricating the pivot head
The pivot head must be lubricated every 20 operating
hours at the three grease nipples (18) using
environmentally friendly grease.

Cleaning
Clean the machine carefully after each use in
order to keep it functioning correctly.
Regularly clean all moving parts.
Clean the housing with a soft brush or a dry cloth.
Do not clean the machine with running water or high-
pressure washers.
Do not use solvents (petrol, alcohol, etc.) for the plastic
parts, since these can damage the plastic parts.
Keep the handle grips free from oil and grease. Water,
solvents and polishes are not allowed to be used.
Make sure that the ventilation slots for the engine
cooling are kept clear (danger of overheating).
Storage

Drain the petrol tank before lengthy storage (over the
winter)
Only drain the petrol tank outdoors
Allow the engine to cool down before storage
1. Drain the fuel tank.
2. Start the engine and let it run at idling speed until it
stops.
3. Allow the engine to cool down.
4. Unscrew the spark plug using a spark plug spanner.
5. Fill a teaspoon of 2-stroke oil into the combustion
chamber.
6. Pull the starter cord slowly several times to distribute
the oil inside the engine.
7. Screw the spark plug back in.
8. Thoroughly clean and service the machine.
9. Store the machine in a cool, dry place
