1. Getting to know your instrument

The upper arm blood pressure monitor is used for non-in-
vasive measurement and monitoring of adults' arterial
blood pressure. This allows you to quickly and easily mea-
sure your blood pressure and to display the last recorded
measurement. The values determined are classified and
graphically evaluated according to WHO guidelines.
Blood pressure measurements determined by this moni-
tor are equivalent to those obtained by a trained observer
using the cuff/stethoscope auscultation method, within
the limits prescribed by the U.S. Department of Health
and Human Service (World Health Organization; WHO).
It is recommended the performance should be checked
every 5 years or after repair. Please contact customer ser-
